Bernie Sanders is confused on Medicaid for all now imagine that !

Sen. Bernie Sanders and his progressive pals may be pushing a "Medicare-For-All" bill as the only solution to the Affordable Care Act's abysmal effect on the health care system, but back in 1987, the Vermont Senator was a lot more honest about what his universal health care plan would cost Americans: a lot.
But it's not clear who will pay for the "free" healthcare Bernie promises.

Let's hear this with feeling there Barney !

“One of the points that we understand and I think was reinforced when we went to Canada,” Sanders told Dr. Miltion Terris, “Number one, you want to guarantee that all people have access to healthcare as you do in Canada.”

"I think what we understand is that unless we change the funding system and the control mechanism in this country to do that,” he said. “For example, if we expanded Medicaid [to] everybody. Give everybody a Medicaid card – we would be spending such an astronomical sum of money that, you know, we would bankrupt the nation.”

What does he think will happen...now? That in the last thirty years, we've magically developed a way to pay for the program out of thin air? That unicorn is probably only visible to Bernie Sanders.

"I think what we understand is that unless we change the funding system and the control mechanism in this country to do that"

Did you read that part retard? He literally qualified what he just said. He said IF we dont change the funding mechanism THEN it will bankrupt the nation. He isnt arguing against medicare for all hes arguing that we need to change the funding system so that we CAN have medicare for all.

Your reading comprehension is astoundingly low.

Barney is retarded and confused is that what you are trying to clear up ?

His plan is fully costed out. The average american would pay 2.2% more in income taxes. For the median income of about $59,000 that comes out to $1300 for the year. That is FAR less than most families pay in premiums, deductibles, and copays for private insurance. Employers pay the remaining 6%. And theres a high income bracket that pays a larger percentage.

There are countries with higher per capita cost of living and lower income per capita that have single payer. We should see bankrupt nations left and right with single payer. But we dont. Because its affordable and in fact is MORE affordable than what we have now which is the most expensive healthcare system on earth which does not produce the best outcomes.

That isnt the medicare for all bill he just proposed in the senate. Its completely irrelevant.

I just costed it out for you beforehand. Maybe try taking another stab at reading and comprehending it.
