I don't have a Kindle, but I do have an iPad. They both have their pros and cons. The thing I like about reading on the ipad is that I can click any word and get the definition. But what I don't like, is the strain it puts on my eyes. I like books because not only are they easier on my eyes, but they're like trophies when I'm finished with them lol. Side: Books
I like both, the Kindle is great for travelling and now I've got the app on my phone its even easier when travelling but you can't beat having a good old fashioned book, so I download old books I enjoyed as a kid or trashy books for reading on holiday or stuff its hard to find in the bookshop but the really good books and biographies things like that I buy for the shelf Side: Books

I think it has a lot to do with nostalgia. I have many fond memories of reading from books, most take place at night as I tried to position my gameboy light attachment to light the pages. Even as enamored with technology as I am, I still prefer a physical book. I have similar nostalgia for cartridge games, something today's children will likely not understand due to the increasing popularity of just downloading games straight to your consoles. The is a gaming bar I go to that has a Super Nintendo, I know the feeling you are talking about, I had it when I requested one of my favorite games and they brought out the original cartridge version of if, downloading it to my 3DS would never give me that feeling. Not really sure why I replied, I usually don't unless to dispute. I guess I want people to understand that your statement is accurate. Side: Books

I say use both. However the Kindle has a lot of advantages. You can carry hundreds of books, magazines and newspapers with you at one time. Access to immediate reference such as dictionaries and thesaurus. The screen on the paperwhite and kindle original use e-ink so read like a regular book and not a glossy screen like a tablet. It can make reading more accessible for people by having really cheap books or free books. Side: Kindle
