I don't believe he has enough experience with planes crashing into buildings, engineering of the plane, and overall knowledge of the aircraft to speculate on how a plane would have reacted when flying into the building.

Some of the claims are pretty dubious, too- like his suggestion that the wings and tail stabilizers would have shorn off when striking the building and simply fallen to the ground.

While I am not a physicist, I understand that inertia is a property of all matter, yes? If the plane was moving at 500MPH as claimed, then those wings were as well. If the bulbous nose of the aircraft had sufficient inertia to crumple into the building while penetrating it, then the wings with their lovely bladelike propfile should do at least as much- likely more due to the shape minimizing how much of the buildings surface and innards could offer resistance, and having generally less space within them for the structure of the wing to deform into.

I think at this point we're all well beyond considering someone as somehow being more credible simply due to working for the government- I suspect this is just someone trying to stir up shit.

My favorite part was where he said we would have found large remains of the plane. How big was the plane compared to the building? 1% That's like trying to find a plane buried underneath 100 planes of debris.

And something my little back and forth with Cartman didn't touch on-

The linked article does not claim that no plane crashed into the world trade center, as the debate title indicates; it merely asserts that the plane was not a 767 as claimed by the US government. As noted, that claim is rather shaky from the 'evidence' offered, but it's still not the same as saying 'no plane crashed...'
