Wrong. The best countries are Scandinavian (Sweden, Finland, and Norway, primarily).

Why, what have they contributed to the world?
324 days ago | Side: True
Really? Come out of your little box. Your question is so stupid... I could ask the same. What has UK contributed to the world? Or US, or any advanced country for that matter? Another way of looking at "what the best country is" is how that country treats its own people. And UK is far down there on that list...
324 days ago | Side: True
You forgot fucking Vikings! And, being serious, they contributed a beautiful set of myths and legends entwined with their culture. As well as some awesome musicians like Tallest Man On Earth, and, last but not least, MINECRAFT! Axmeister's problem is that he views people as categorised by their nationality, so to him, any achievement made by someone is somehow also achieved by everyone who was born in the same country. The achievements of an individual are that individual's achievements and not yours, regardless of where they happen to be born. And his categories are arbitrary, there is no real division between one country and another, just where we happen to have drawn the line. There is no difference between you and a Swedish person, other than your cultural legacy. Nationalism, and its little brother patriotism, are irrational, and more importantly, dangerous.
324 days ago | Side: True
They contributed ... MINECRAFT! I wouldn't say that is a good thing; I would blame them for that. As well as this you swore on my debate, and you shall therefore be banned.
324 days ago | Side: True
As well as this you swore on my debate, and you shall therefore be banned. Swear words are words like any other. In fact you can offend people without using those words. Swear words can be used in non-swearing ways (as did anachronist). Just so you knew. It goes the other way too. The word BALLS, as in "children played with balls", I'll let you figure out what I meant with that... Banning people simply because they used some words is extremely stupid, especially if they used them in a non-offensive way. Also, in some situations it is highly justified to use swear words. Diversity is a good thing, that also goes about languages. You seem to like censoring and oppressing things you don't like. How "nice" of you. If you meet someone you really really don't like and you cannot get rid of the person without you leaving and that is something you don't want to do, even though there's nothing wrong with that person, there's nothing the person should change about himself/herself. It's just your personal preference that you don't like him/her. You then kill him/her to get your will? If you meet something or someone you don't like, you adapt, or you fuck off! So you wouldn't get this the wrong way, you don't adapt to what is wrong and false, other than learning to oppose it and trying to set it right, like your not liking swear words. You are so pathetic. Or are you just playing stupid? Trolling? I wouldn't say that is a good thing; I would blame them for that. From what you said I read that creativity is a bad thing. You do know people have built calculators within that game?

This argument has nothing to do with the subject of the debate. Let me remind you: 'Britain is the Best Country in the World' is the debate; the debate is not about swearing. I therefore have nothing to say.
323 days ago | Side: True
I think it's relevant. Perhaps your knee-jerk sensitivity and obvious prudishness are indicative of the overall British illusion of "class" and perhaps it shows the British way of dealing with (or, rather, censoring and ignoring) opinions you don't agree with. Also, I all of your debates have the rule "no swearing," not swearing as a valid thing to dispute on all of your debates. If you hadn't brought it up you can bet your ass Jungelson, nummi, and I would have stayed quiet about it, too.
322 days ago | Side: True
That's actually very true in my case, I am far more inclined to swearing if it is "prohibited". If no one says "no swearing" then I won't even recall (in most cases anyway) that there is such a thing as swearing.
322 days ago | Side: True
For once I agree with you! I also think it was awfully convenient of him to ban Jungelson instead of refuting Jungelsons very valid criticism of the way this debate is constructed.

You make the mistake of pretending that you know people's characters on CD while only arguing with them once or twice. Anyway, please quote any of my arguments that led you to come to that conclusion.

"Your question is so stupid..." How come you couldn't answer it then? "I could ask the same. What has UK contributed to the world? " Britain made the modern world. You question is so stupid. "Or US, or any advanced country for that matter?" I'm concerned about how you see the US as an "advanced country". "Another way of looking at "what the best country is" is how that country treats its own people. And UK is far down there on that list..." How you rank the "best country" is merely your own opinion, but you must be open to how other people judge it was well. If you judge on how a country treats it's own people then Greece should be fairly high, with their lovely benift system and generous pensions and a massive debt.
324 days ago | Side: True
How come you couldn't answer it then? I could answer it easily but I won't because the question is too stupid. Literally too stupid. But I'll give you a little bit. Science, peace and welfare as an example for others, as anachronist said mythology, music, etc. Britain made the modern world. You question is so stupid. No, it didn't. US did, they set an example for everyone (no longer an example). If you think UK did then prove it (you can't because it didn't). I'm concerned about how you see the US as an "advanced country". I'm concerned how you can be so stupid. Check the definition of advanced or rather "developed country", and become enlightened. How you rank the "best country" is merely your own opinion, but you must be open to how other people judge it was well. Your judgement is clearly biased and flawed, while mine is not. I look at the facts, not how I "feel" about certain things. If you judge on how a country treats it's own people then Greece should be fairly high, with their lovely benift system and generous pensions and a massive debt. Do you even know what Scandinavian countries are like? You evidently do not. So please, stfu until you haven't done the necessary research! Greece is mostly religious while Scandinavian countries are mostly atheistic and are there any serious issues up there? No, there are not. If you look at the facts then the less religious countries are doing far better than those that are mostly religious. Oh, right, another indicator why those countries are better - very small religious influence.

"I could answer it easily but I won't because the question is too stupid. Literally too stupid. But I'll give you a little bit. Science, peace and welfare as an example for others, as anachronist said mythology, music, etc." Don't let me do you work for you, give me a reason or I'll have to assume your point is invalid. "No, it didn't. US did, they set an example for everyone (no longer an example). If you think UK did then prove it (you can't because it didn't)." What the hell are you on about? Have you heard of the British Empire? what sort of sad excuse for history do they teach in America? "I'm concerned how you can be so stupid. Check the definition of advanced or rather "developed country", and become enlightened." You're right, USA is developed just not advanced. "Your judgement is clearly biased and flawed, while mine is not. I look at the facts, not how I "feel" about certain things." What facts? All you've said is how you think Scandinvia is the best country in the world. "Do you even know what Scandinavian countries are like? You evidently do not." Considering how I've been to Scandinavia and you evidently have not (you have still yet to provide me with any description of why you think Scandinavia is the best area in the world) "stfu" Urgh, slang. "Greece is mostly religious while Scandinavian countries are mostly atheistic and are there any serious issues up there? No, there are not. If you look at the facts then the less religious countries are doing far better than those that are mostly religious. Oh, right, another indicator why those countries are better - very small religious influence." Finally, we've got somewhere. You see Scandinavia as the best countries in the world because of your atheist subjectivenesss. Please take not on how you said earlier "I look at the facts, not how I "feel" about certain things." Hypocrite.

Don't let me do you work for you, give me a reason or I'll have to assume your point is invalid. On the contrary. I know what those countries are like while you don't. If I wrote all that here I would be the one doing your work for you. I gave you a little something to think about, but you clearly did not. Best not talk about things you don't know. What the hell are you on about? Have you heard of the British Empire? what sort of sad excuse for history do they teach in America? More proof that I'm right, I'm not American, wasn't even born there, have never been there. The British Empire might have had some influence but it was definitely weaker than that of US. You're right, USA is developed just not advanced. It is advanced alright, they simply have their ever-growing stupid ways. How much science is done there? Quite a bit, eh? And look at their military, isn't that advanced too? (They do spend too much on military... and then again it keeps certain countries from "taking over the world", like North-Korea.) What facts? All you've said is how you think Scandinvia is the best country in the world. I said they are the best ones, later I clarified it a bit, gave you a little thinking material. But when you know nothing about those countries of course you can't really think about what I gave you. You asked, "Why, what have they contributed to the world?" If you had known anything about them you would not have asked that. You give me something that proves they have contributed nothing to the world. That means doing some research about those countries on your side. Considering how I've been to Scandinavia and you evidently have not (you have still yet to provide me with any description of why you think Scandinavia is the best area in the world) I've been there alright, both Sweden and Finland. And furthermore, I live in Estonia, right next to those countries, so I know quite a bit about them, definitely far more than you. Just visiting a country does not mean you actually know something about them. Do some research, you clearly need it to continue this "debate". In fact, if you actually did you would not reply, if you did reply then that would be a reply of agreement. You see Scandinavia as the best countries in the world because of your atheist subjectivenesss. There it is. You're arguing with me the same way you argue religion. Very typical of someone like you, and very stupid. Just so you knew, I never thought about the atheism part until I got to that point in my argument, and then it occurred to me. Like "look at that, very interesting fact." You are so biased you cannot even see it yourself. I am not subjective. You are, clearly. Please take not on how you said earlier "I look at the facts, not how I "feel" about certain things." I said it because it is a fact - something you cannot understand because of your religion. How I'm doing so far? Hypocrite. My opinions are based on facts, yet you call me a hypocrite? You do realize that you are so clearly, with your comments, defining the word "hypocrite"?

"On the contrary. I know what those countries are like while you don't. If I wrote all that here I would be the one doing your work for you. I gave you a little something to think about, but you clearly did not. Best not talk about things you don't know." Clearly you do not know how to debate. When writing an opening argument you need to state your view and back it up with a selection of evidence. You do not state you opinion and then demand anyone who disagrees with it to research your opinion. "More proof that I'm right, I'm not American, wasn't even born there, have never been there." Just because I made a mistake of identity, doesn't mean the essence of my point is incorrect. Anyway, what sort of sad excuse for history do they teach in Estonia? "The British Empire might have had some influence but it was definitely weaker than that of US." The British Empire had influence in all of the continents. They actually owned a many countries. Unlike U.S.A, who for some reason unknown to man, you believe were more influential. "It is advanced alright, they simply have their ever-growing stupid ways. How much science is done there? Quite a bit, eh? And look at their military, isn't that advanced too? (They do spend too much on military... and then again it keeps certain countries from "taking over the world", like North-Korea.)" They may be technologically advanced but they have little in the way of culture, can you name anything that originated in the U.S that has made a positive change to culture? "I said they are the best ones, later I clarified it a bit, gave you a little thinking material. But when you know nothing about those countries of course you can't really think about what I gave you." You didn't give me any "thinking material" you just asked me to back up your opinion. Now you act obnoxiously claiming that I know nothing of Scandinavia. "You asked, "Why, what have they contributed to the world?" If you had known anything about them you would not have asked that. You give me something that proves they have contributed nothing to the world. That means doing some research about those countries on your side." Of course I can't prove they have contributed nothing I just don't believe that have contributed anything superior to what Britain has. It is not my task to research your argument. "I've been there alright, both Sweden and Finland. And furthermore, I live in Estonia, right next to those countries," Well, I will be honest in saying that I know very little about your country aside from name and location, but the main reason is because I see your country as one of those insignificant eastern-european nations. "...so I know quite a bit about them, definitely far more than you" We have yet to see any proof of that, considering how you refuse to write anything about those countries. "Just visiting a country does not mean you actually know something about them. Do some research, you clearly need it to continue this "debate". In fact, if you actually did you would not reply, if you did reply then that would be a reply of agreement." This debate is about Britain, of which I have already done some research on. You need to prove why Scandanavian nations are better than Britain, not the other way around. "There it is. You're arguing with me the same way you argue religion. Very typical of someone like you, and very stupid." Pah, who cares about your opinion. "Just so you knew, I never thought about the atheism part until I got to that point in my argument, and then it occurred to me. Like "look at that, very interesting fact." So what you're saying is, you don't even have reasons for why you originally thought Scandinavia is the best area. You're just making this all up as you go along? "You are so biased you cannot even see it yourself." I know I'm biased, I can even be prejudiced. It is not your place to assess my character. "I said it because it is a fact" Please, read your own arguments and highlight any facts that are in them. "something you cannot understand because of your religion." So you're not only subjective, but you judge people on what they believe in? Likewise I could say, you don't acutally know much about the real world because your from Estonia, a country very few know exists. "How I'm doing so far?" You're losing, terribly. "My opinions are based on facts, yet you call me a hypocrite?" What facts? All you've done in this "debate" is open with your opinion and then try insult me with your stereotypes.

Clearly you do not know how to debate. When writing an opening argument you need to state your view and back it up with a selection of evidence. You do not state you opinion and then demand anyone who disagrees with it to research your opinion. I do know how to debate. It is rather pointless to give evidence for something that should be obvious to anyone. If you disagree with something like that, you are the one who has the bigger necessity to give evidence. Oh, and, debating also includes logic, meaning giving sources to evidence is not always necessary. For example, while one side is strongly biased, like yourself, and won't even try to look at reality. Just because I made a mistake of identity, doesn't mean the essence of my point is incorrect. It is if the reason you state you are more right is because of my nationality. Unlike U.S.A, who for some reason unknown to man, you believe were more influential. I don't believe they were, they were more influential. Their opposition with communism and autocracy, their ideas of freedom, their military strength, their science, their products, their space missions, etc. Anyway, what sort of sad excuse for history do they teach in Estonia? Sad excuse for history? In Estonia they teach how things really were (no biased crap), and our education includes material that in many countries (definitely in US) is college and university material. The British Empire had influence in all of the continents. They actually owned a many countries. Unlike U.S.A, who for some reason unknown to man, you believe were more influential. I don't believe they were, they were. Do your own research, since you lack the necessary knowledge. They may be technologically advanced but they have little in the way of culture, can you name anything that originated in the U.S that has made a positive change to culture? The debate is "Britain is the best country in the world." See the is there? I do not care about culture. What is, that is. If it's bad it must be changed. And you think Britain has never given any bad influence? By the way, this arguing was about Scandinavia, not US. US was just an example as an advanced country, as it is (just as are Scandinavian countries). I suggest you to check the definition of an advanced or developed country. You didn't give me any "thinking material" you just asked me to back up your opinion. Now you act obnoxiously claiming that I know nothing of Scandinavia. I did give you something to think about, certain areas. Reread my previous arguments if you missed them. If you knew anything about Scandinavia to back up your claims you should have given them already. Of course I can't prove they have contributed nothing I just don't believe that have contributed anything superior to what Britain has. You said, "Why, what have they contributed to the world?" That's pretty clear to me. Superior? So stupid... Come out of your little box. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Swedish_inventions They might have been superior in the past but this debate is about what is now. And now, for one, they are superior in welfare. Currently, in those countries, active science is going on. You know (I don't think you do), developing new technology, broadening the knowledge of science, etc. Saying something like superior is stupid. Clearly shows you are biased, because you believe (the religious sense of believe) that your country is superior. It is not my task to research your argument. It is your task to do the research as it is mine. I've done mine, I have the knowledge I need while you clearly don't. If you claim something it is your task to know what you are talking about. That means it is your task to do the research before you claim something, especially if what you claim is false. Otherwise you can and/or will remain arguing, even if the evidence has been provided and is right before your eyes. Well, I will be honest in saying that I know very little about your country aside from name and location, but the main reason is because I see your country as one of those insignificant eastern-european nations. Insignificant? You clearly don't know what insignificant means. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Space_science_in_Estonia http://www.estinventor.com/?page_id=34 That's just a fraction. Estonia is a very scientific country, as are all northern countries. But science is something you don't want to understand because of your religion. We have yet to see any proof of that, considering how you refuse to write anything about those countries. Have you yourself done that? No. And I did write something about them, I didn't see it as necessary to write any more because that should be obvious to anyone with basic education (clearly you're an exception). This debate is about Britain, of which I have already done some research on. You need to prove why Scandanavian nations are better than Britain, not the other way around. The debate itself gives no proof to Britain being the best. All it does is it says it is the best. I said it is wrong and that Scandinavian countries are the best. Then you said "Why, what have they contributed to the world?", which is very stupid. Give me the evidence that Britain is the best. That includes comparing Britain to other countries like the Scandinavian ones. I have given some explanation why Scandinavian are the best, or at least better than UK, while you have given me NOTHING. So please, begin using your brain. Pah, who cares about your opinion. This is something people like you (religious idiots) resort to when facing truth (reality). So what you're saying is, you don't even have reasons for why you originally thought Scandinavia is the best area. You're just making this all up as you go along? Originally I thought about the welfare in that country, and how advanced their society and economy is. While you think your country is the best simply because you believe so, just as is with your religion. What I say comes from reality, not something I feel or make up. If I feel something or make something up I check that with reality, if I'm wrong I change my opinion. You cannot say the same about yourself, if you do you are lying. I know I'm biased, I can even be prejudiced. It is not your place to assess my character. I assess whoever I want, and furthermore, my assessments are based on reality, on observation. Not something I feel. Please, read your own arguments and highlight any facts that are in them. Please, give me some facts proving me wrong (since the debate itself includes none). I didn't provide any facts because they are so fundamental that everyone should (apparently that is not exactly true...) know them. So you're not only subjective, but you judge people on what they believe in? No, not subjective, objective. You are stupid on this topic, you are biased, and you are religious. And religion requires followers to be stupid, and to shut out and oppose everything that contradicts it. Your tendency to not listen to facts comes from religion, you have been taught to deny reality. I once thought Estonia was pretty much the best, that was long ago, but then I faced reality (it has flaws just as every other country). You need to do the same for your own sake. Likewise I could say, you don't acutally know much about the real world because your from Estonia, a country very few know exists. It's a shame, considering the fact that Skype was developed here. Not to mention so many other scientific and technological advances. Estonia is the least religious country. And as you should be aware then atheists are on average far far smarter than religious people. And as obviously comes out from this "debate" (even though I don't call myself an atheist). You're losing, terribly. I can see that so clearly... what an idiot. You deny facts and reality and when confronted with them you say something like that, just because you believe you are right. What facts? All you've done in this "debate" is open with your opinion and then try insult me with your stereotypes. You are the one giving stupid comments and yet I am the one insulting you with stereotypes? You began with this "you judge me this way because of my religion" nonsense. You were stereotyping. It is a fact that religion causes problems between people and generally keeps them stupid. It is not stereotyping, it is reflecting reality. And you are a good example.

I do know how to debate Debating is about the debate. Not about the person whom you are debating with and their techniques; you should not criticise that as you have: 'clearly you do not know how to debate'. Axemeister is a very good debater and has been for some time now.

"I do know how to debate. It is rather pointless to give evidence for something that should be obvious to anyone." Yes, but people in Estonia may be experts on Finland, but the rest of the world have more important countries to learn about. "If you disagree with something like that, you are the one who has the bigger necessity to give evidence." That makes no sense. "Oh, and, debating also includes logic, meaning giving sources to evidence is not always necessary. For example, while one side is strongly biased, like yourself, and won't even try to look at reality." I'm biased? Look at yourself. "I don't believe they were, they were more influential. Their opposition with communism and autocracy, their ideas of freedom, their military strength, their science, their products, their space missions, etc." The British Empire created the United States, India, Israel, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Singapore, and most of Africa. At one point Britain even owned the sea. How the hell can you say that the U.S has been more influential? "Sad excuse for history? In Estonia they teach how things really were (no biased crap)," Clearly you've suddenly become an expert of the history curriculum of England as well as being an expert on "what should be obvious to everyone" "and our education includes material that in many countries (definitely in US) is college and university material." It has previously been proven that the American history curriculum is heavily subjective and partially made up. "The debate is "Britain is the best country in the world." See the is there?" Most people judge the "best" country on it's history as well as it's other aspects. You cannot possibly rule out Britain's contributions to world history. "I do not care about culture. What is, that is. If it's bad it must be changed. And you think Britain has never given any bad influence?" It's provided better influence than most countries, also it's culture and etiquette is what made it so highly desired as a nation. "You said, "Why, what have they contributed to the world?" That's pretty clear to me." Then why didn't you just say what Scandinavia has contributed to the world? "Superior? So stupid... Come out of your little box." This is coming from someone in a little Eastern European country who regards Scandinavia as the best nations in the world. "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Swedish_inventions" List of British Inventions As you can see, Britain's clearly invented many times more inevntions than Sweden has, though you may say that you haven't included the inventions of Finland and Norway I'm going to point out that I might as well include the inventions of Canada and Australia since they are basically the offspring of Britain. "They might have been superior in the past but this debate is about what is now." If you're arguing about now, why did you just use a list of Swedish inventions (of which only 3 were made in this century) as evidence for your point? Once again, I think you're a hypocrite. "Currently, in those countries, active science is going on. You know (I don't think you do), developing new technology, broadening the knowledge of science, etc." Oh yes, because the major scientists of the Royal Society in the UK, which includes people like Stephan Hawking, sit around all day doing nothing. They certainly don't partake in any "active science" but rediscover things of the past. "Saying something like superior is stupid. Clearly shows you are biased, because you believe (the religious sense of believe) that your country is superior." You are an idiot. I did not say my country is superior to yours, I said Scandinavia is not superior to Britain. "Estonia is a very scientific country, as are all northern countries. But science is something you don't want to understand because of your religion." You have serious prejudice issues against religious people, I'm wondering whether you should be taking medication of a sort. "Have you yourself done that?" I'm not arguing for these countries I'm arguing against them. When you learn how to debate, you'll noticed that the person arguing for (that's you by the way) has to open the debate with an argument that includes evidence then the person arguing against (which, in case you haven't realised, is me) counter argues with my own evidence. Have I made myself clear? "And I did write something about them, I didn't see it as necessary to write any more because that should be obvious to anyone with basic education (clearly you're an exception)." I've re-read all the previous arguments and no you haven't written anything about them, aside from "Science, peace and welfare as an example for others, as anachronist said mythology, music" which is so generic is nullified. "I have given some explanation why Scandinavian are the best, or at least better than UK, while you have given me NOTHING." I gave you the British Empire as evidence, it is an indisputable fact that they made the modern world. You then took my point and started a whole other debate about it by claiming that the U.S had more influence, I was then concerned about where you learnt history to probably make such a stupid mistake. "Originally I thought about the welfare in that country, and how advanced their society and economy is." No you just said, Scandinavia is the best country because they have the best welfare because they are athiest. Which is nothing more than your stupid little prejudice against religious people. "If I feel something or make something up I check that with reality, if I'm wrong I change my opinion." No, if you're wrong you just insult the other party. " assess whoever I want, and furthermore, my assessments are based on reality, on observation. Not something I feel." You cannot observe me, you cannot even observe "reality". You're too busy being blinded by prejudice. "No, not subjective, objective. You are stupid on this topic, you are biased, and you are religious. And religion requires followers to be stupid, and to shut out and oppose everything that contradicts it. Your tendency to not listen to facts comes from religion, you have been taught to deny reality." Is Estonia still under the regime of Stalin because that's the exactly what the communists taught. "It's a shame, considering the fact that Skype was developed here. Not to mention so many other scientific and technological advances." Skype is a Swedish invention, which is exactly what your source says.

Yes, but people in Estonia may be experts on Finland, but the rest of the world have more important countries to learn about. The reason we know far more about Finland is because they are right north of us, approximately 100km. More important? So stupid... That makes no sense. I said, "It is rather pointless to give evidence for something that should be obvious to anyone (with basic education). If you disagree with something like that, you are the one who has the bigger necessity to give evidence." Look at yourself. I am not biased. I look at facts. http://www.financialjesus.com/how-to-get-rich/top-10-happiest-countries/ The British Empire created the United States, India, Israel, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Singapore, and most of Africa. At one point Britain even owned the sea. How the hell can you say that the U.S has been more influential? Britan did not create US... Nor any of the other countries. That is so clearly biased, you think your country is the best because it has some sort of relation to all those. Guess what, Britain has a relation to all of humanity. Did it also create the whole humanity? Look at the debate heading, you see the word is there? Not was. It no longer is. Clearly you've suddenly become an expert of the history curriculum of England as well as being an expert on "what should be obvious to everyone" I definitely am more expert than you are, since I'm not biased as you are in so many ways. You cannot possibly rule out Britain's contributions to world history. To move onward you have to look at what currently is. Not be obsessed with the past. As the debate is about what is, not was, then what was is irrelevant. Not to mention there is no further description other than the heading itself. Then why didn't you just say what Scandinavia has contributed to the world? I didn't say anything because your question was too stupid to be answered. You asked it with the tone that they have contributed nothing. If you say something like that you better be certain you are right. And you weren't right. This is coming from someone in a little Eastern European country who regards Scandinavia as the best nations in the world. I said originally, "The best countries are Scandinavian (Sweden, Finland, and Norway, primarily)" Primarily does not mean only they are, it means there are others. Go south of those countries and you'll meet more. Australia is another one. All better in welfare than is Britain. List of British Inventions As you can see, Britain's clearly invented many times more inevntions than Sweden has, though you may say that you haven't included the inventions of Finland and Norway I'm going to point out that I might as well include the inventions of Canada and Australia since they are basically the offspring of Britain. Are all those inventions still being developed? No, they already exist. Majority of those are done decades and centuries back. Important is whatever someone has done to the rest, not the one who made it (in case that person is dead or no longer in active business) or where they were made. Offspring of Britain, are you high? They have their own rules and laws. They are independent. It doesn't matter if they came to be because Britain had the idea of expansion but essentially failed because those countries are not really part of Britain, definitely not anymore. If you're arguing about now, why did you just use a list of Swedish inventions (of which only 3 were made in this century) as evidence for your point? You went on about what they have done, not what they are doing, so I gave a little something. Once again, I think you're a hypocrite. I base my opinions on facts and logic, yet I am the hypocrite? Clearly... You don't measure scientific advancements by what is superior to another, they are all necessary. Oh yes, because the major scientists of the Royal Society in the UK, which includes people like Stephan Hawking, sit around all day doing nothing. They certainly don't partake in any "active science" but rediscover things of the past. Read the above. And most of the past is completely useless, in fact some is even harmful (religion). You are an idiot. I did not say my country is superior to yours, I said Scandinavia is not superior to Britain. You idiot, I'm not talking about my country. And again you with your superiority. As I said, stupid. All countries are different. If a country has a good basis for a happy and healthy life then it has the potential to be "superior". But why should they want superiority? Superiority is for dictators and autocrats. You have serious prejudice issues against religious people, I'm wondering whether you should be taking medication of a sort. Not prejudice, but facts. Religion does not allow science because it questions and contradicts it. Medication? If you are religious and you deny reality just because you "believe" then you are the one needing medication. I'm not arguing for these countries I'm arguing against them. If you argue against something, you need to know, by facts, what you are arguing against, not make things up. When you learn how to debate, you'll noticed that the person arguing for (that's you by the way) has to open the debate with an argument that includes evidence then the person arguing against (which, in case you haven't realised, is me) counter argues with my own evidence. The debate gave no evidence, it just said it is. As the debate says "Britain is the Best Country in the World" it must give reasons to it. You are arguing against me. Yet you gave no evidence in your first "argument". And neither has the debate itself any evidence. As the debate said something with no evidence, so did I. For "Britain is the Best Country in the World" to be true the claimer has to know about every country sufficiently and if had known that then would not have claimed something like it in the first place. Or had said it in relation with specific categories. Have I made myself clear? I've re-read all the previous arguments and no you haven't written anything about them, aside from "Science, peace and welfare as an example for others, as anachronist said mythology, music" which is so generic is nullified. Because no more should be necessary if you had sufficient knowledge. But you clearly don't, you clearly cannot think on your own, as that was what I gave it for. I gave you the British Empire as evidence, it is an indisputable fact that they made the modern world. They did not make the modern world, that is a fact. The modern world is not something that was done by just one country, many countries were involved in it. You are so biased. You could as well say humans made the modern world (they actually did...), since we evolved to our current state and developed language, society, civilization, and all else. The roots were planted thousands of years ago for this all to happen. As organisms evolve, so does society, language, culture, only their evolving is a little different. No one makes them. Unless you're writing a book. Or unless you force people to see your way, and those who resist you kill. Did that happen, by force and death? No. No you just said, Scandinavia is the best country because they have the best welfare because they are athiest. Which is nothing more than your stupid little prejudice against religious people. Prejudice right there. It is a fact that atheists do better, not prejudice. Because they are allowed to think whatever they want, without the fear of going to hell. You are prejudiced, not me. No, if you're wrong you just insult the other party. You are the one who insults the other party, because you are so clearly wrong in almost everything you have said. What does a religious person do when they cannot argue against facts? They begin insulting or just talking further nonsense. I've seen that plenty around here. You cannot observe me, you cannot even observe "reality". You're too busy being blinded by prejudice. Says the one who's religious... What irony, isn't it? Is Estonia still under the regime of Stalin because that's the exactly what the communists taught. What the fuck are you going about now? Before claiming something know what you are talking about. Communist Russia was religious. What I said about religion keeping people stupid was not my opinion, it was a fact. I was born 1990. You know, or should anyway, from history, that that was the year communism officially ended (or was it 1991? either way, 1 year makes no difference...), that was when Russia's military began leaving my occupied country and some other countries. If there is and was no Russia's direct influence here then how could I have been taught communism? I fail to see the logic behind that. Not to mention that Estonia has been occupied, enslaved, converted, disallowed to follow our native teachings and "religion" to the point that what natively had developed here, our culture, had been suppressed and oppressed so much that our native "religion" (what little is known about it) is followed by almost no one. We were not allowed what was ours, and we have resisted every occupant, and what they brought with them (including religions) the best we could. We have learned to not take any crap from anyone but ourselves, and to survive under the rule of others. Skype is a Swedish invention, which is exactly what your source says. Shows clearly that wikipedia has mistakes. Skype is not a Swedish invention. Skype was developed in Estonia, by Estonians. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skype

"The reason we know far more about Finland is because they are right north of us, approximately 100km." exactly my point, you only know about Finland because it is so near to you, the rest of the world is more concerned with more important countries such as Britain to bother learning about Finland. "I said, "It is rather pointless to give evidence for something that should be obvious to anyone (with basic education). If you disagree with something like that, you are the one who has the bigger necessity to give evidence."" Debating already has rules of which I already told you, you cannot apply your own rules and demand someone else to abide by them. "I am not biased. I look at facts. http://www.financialjesus.com/how-to-get-rich/top-10-happiest-countries/ " What's that source got to do with whether you're biased or not? With your clear hatred against religious people and coincidently you think Scandinavia's great for their lack of belief, I think it's safe to say you're biased. "Britan did not create US... Nor any of the other countries. That is so clearly biased, you think your country is the best because it has some sort of relation to all those. Guess what, Britain has a relation to all of humanity. Did it also create the whole humanity?" I repeat, what kind of sad excuse of a history curriculum do they have in Estonia? History of America Feel free to research any of those countries. I've only put the U.S up here as an example. Look for the part that says "history" and find out how it happened. "To move onward you have to look at what currently is. Not be obsessed with the past. As the debate is about what is, not was, then what was is irrelevant. Not to mention there is no further description other than the heading itself." It is understandable how you wish to exclude history as much as possible (since your country is new, it hasn't had much history and most of it was crap anyway) but nothing you say is going to ignore what happened. "Primarily does not mean only they are, it means there are others. Go south of those countries and you'll meet more. Australia is another one. All better in welfare than is Britain." Australia was created by Britain. "Not prejudice, but facts. Religion does not allow science because it questions and contradicts it." And this is a "fact"? This is proof of your prejudice. "If you argue against something, you need to know, by facts, what you are arguing against, not make things up." I haven't made anything up, unlike you and your "facts". It doesn't matter if they came to be because Britain had the idea of expansion but essentially failed because those countries are not really part of Britain, definitely not anymore." I know it's difficult, for someone who's country is basically the offspring of Russia, to grasp how countries could be benifit from being a colony. Just because they are fully independant now doesn't nullify their history. "You are arguing against me. Yet you gave no evidence in your first "argument". And neither has the debate itself any evidence. As the debate said something with no evidence, so did I." The debate is there to pose a notion, they may provide an introduction but they don't have to provide evidence. Even if the debate creator is an idiot, you still are required to provide evidence in your first argument. Either way I ended up having to ask you for evidence hence the question "what have they contributed to the world", you responded by acting like a child and calling me stupid. "For "Britain is the Best Country in the World" to be true the claimer has to know about every country sufficiently and if had known that then would not have claimed something like it in the first place. It is a fact that atheists do better, not prejudice. Because they are allowed to think whatever they want, without the fear of going to hell. You are prejudiced, not me." Please explain how that was prejudice, aside from me quoting you. "Says the one who's religious... What irony, isn't it?" Your sentance just confirms how prejudice you are. You no nothing about me yet because I'm religious that also makes me prejudice? Tell me, if I'm so "prejudiced" what am I prejudiced against? "Communist Russia was religious." What religion? Stalinism? "I was born 1990. History of America Feel free to research any of those countries. I've only put the U.S up here as an example. Look for the part that says "history" and find out how it happened. Our education is obviously better than yours. Britain did not create US. The first colonists who created it were from Britain and other countries. Britain claimed dominance over them and they rebelled, essentially cutting their ties with Britain. I've got a source for you, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States , looks familiar doesn't it? Read it and THINK! You are so clearly biased, thinking your country is the best when in reality it is not so. It was once, a long time ago, but is no longer. It is understandable how you wish to exclude history as much as possible (since your country is new, it hasn't had much history and most of it was crap anyway) but nothing you say is going to ignore what happened. We've got our history, it is the history of our people that goes back 10-12 thousand years (although there's very little we know about that old times). You saying most of it is crap proves that you are biased. You clearly think that everything which is not Britain is crap. I really don't see much point for this "debate" to go on any further. Country is new? It has been occupied by one after another. Estonia has nothing to do with the country, it has to do with Estonians, the people this land belongs to and has belonged to for 10-12 thousand years. What happened? What the fuck are you talking about now? Australia was created by Britain. That is not exactly right. A country and its people are not the same. British people might have created it, but not Britain itself. And this is a "fact"? This is proof of your prejudice. And I'll say again, it is not prejudice, it is fact. As an example, how many religious people deny evolution? I haven't made anything up, unlike you and your "facts". Facts are called facts for a reason - they reflect reality. Then why did you highlight inventions in the first place, only to say such a measurement is invalid? I'll say it again, because you brought it up. I know it's difficult, for someone who's country is basically the offspring of Russia, to grasp how countries could be benifit from being a colony. Offspring of Russia? Before you claim something like that do your fucking research you moron. Estonia has been in its current place with its people for over 10 thousand years. We were occupied by Russia, Estonia existed before occupation. Do your own research before claiming something. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Estonia#Declaration_of_independence Just because they are fully independant now doesn't nullify their history. Please explain how that was prejudice, aside from me quoting you. Something you said, "No you just said, Scandinavia is the best country because they have the best welfare because they are athiest. Which is nothing more than your stupid little prejudice against religious people." You are prejudiced against atheists, because they ask questions about your religion (that also includes the questions about reality) you may not even think about. You said, "You cannot observe me, you cannot even observe "reality". You're too busy being blinded by prejudice." When observing reality is exactly what I do and at the same time it is something your religion disallows, because observing reality would raise questions. Prejudice means having a preference for something or against something, you clearly have that. Against atheists and reality. For religion that fundamentally makes no sense. All that because you were raised in a religious family (there are of course exceptions 'cause there are those who have turned away from their very stupid teachings), were you not? What religion? Stalinism? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Religion_in_the_Soviet_Union Currently over 80% are religious. That figure would be a lot smaller if there were no religion. Because the Communists ran your country for several decades, surely some remnants of communism would remain, such as the hatred against religious people you so clearly show. I've already said why I oppose religion... If some people fought against reality and forced their stupid opinions of religion upon so many others would you not be angry, even slightly? (If you weren't religious yourself.) You'd be surprised how resilient Estonians are when it comes to keeping crap away. Once again, the source you show me clearly states that Skype was invented in Sweden and Denmark. Once again, you've proven that you either don't know what a fact is or you've been conditioned with communist teaching. Communist teaching? You do know that communism ended 1990? Get your facts straight you idiot. I know what a fact is very well, far better than you do, obviously. Please show me any source which shows that is is a "fact that religion keeps people stupid". You do understand that religion denies reality? Of course you don't, otherwise you would not have said the above. Religion does not allow the questioning of itself. Considering that religion claims something to be real means it also denies the questioning of reality. There are some exceptions, some people do question, but I'm talking about the majority. Have you seen religious people here, in CD, argue reality? Saying there is no evolution, saying God created everything, and all other nonsense? While there is abundant evidence to the contrary. http://freethinker.co.uk/features/atheists-are-more-intelligent-than-religious-people/ They didn't rebel because they were from other countries, they rebelled because they didn't want to be seen as a colony and wanted to have equal status to Britain. Equal status to Britain means being another independent country. That means Britain did not create US, the people who live on that land created it. You really need to read the wikipedia link, instead of assuming it agrees with your point and using it as a source. You are the one who is assuming it agrees with your point. I need to read? I did... but you clearly didn't, or denied understanding it and instead made things up to suit your preferences. You are the one who's been misunderstanding what I have written, and the wikipedia pages you cannot understand. As I have said to you before, learn to understand what you read. Evolution is not all of science, a lot of science supports creationism and a lot of scientists are creationists. So wrong. Evolution is all science. No science supports creationism because there is no evidence while there is abundant evidence for evolution. No true science supports creationism. Science is based on observation and proof. There is none when it comes to creationism. And very few scientists are creationists. http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_many_qualified_scientists_support_creationism "What we can say is that not more than 12 respondents to this survey believe in creation. And on these figures, something less than 52 of the 1,074 Fellows of the Royal Society who possess an email address believe in creation." Yes, but you don't use facts they are opinions which are fixed in your mind as fact. They are not opinions, they are facts, as I am certain I have already said many times. The only reason you don't agree with me is because you are biased, because you think, no, you believe you are right. Believing something does not make it real. If you take something as real simply because you believe it then that makes you delusional. Go over the debate again, look at who first brought up inventions. Oh wait, it was you. Who said, "Why, what have they contributed to the world?" You did. As you said "...contributed...", I gave you something. Of course Britain created it, Australia was discovered by the British, it was colonised by the British, it was considered part of Britain for several decades. Considering something part of something else does not mean the first one created it. The British people created it by going there and deciding it, not Britain. I was calling your prejudice stupid, because it is based on statements such as "It is a fact that religion keeps people stupid". Which only go to highlight your hatred and naivety at life. I hardly find truth as hate and naivety. And prejudice? So stupid... Truth is truth, it is not something made up, it reflects reality - something you deny so clearly. Yes you have, you said it's because you're prejudiced. And some more of your idiocy. You are so clearly prejudiced, not to mention downright stupid and delusional. You can try claim credit for an invention from another country, but people will always remember skype as being invented by the Dutch or Swedish. I am not claiming credit, I am reflecting reality. Estonians created Skype, that is a fact. The ones who create something are the inventors. If you don't believe these facts and you couldn't see them on the wikipedia page then that only proves I'm right - you cannot understand what you read. Learn to understand what you read, as I've said many times already. By the way, when it says founded it doesn't mean they came up with an idea, but that they started to make it. They did not start making it. Estonians were contracted to make it, Estonians began creating it. Learn to understand what you read, that means leave your stupidity and prejudice behind the door. Estonians just developed the software, that's the equivilent of polishing up a space shuttle, it doesn't mean you people invented Skype. Just developed the software? Skype is software, all of it is software. Developing software means building it from scratch. That means exactly that Estonians created it.

Sorry for taking so long to reply, this response didn't show up on my argument activity. "Communist teaching? You do know that communism ended 1990? Get your facts straight you idiot." Get my facts straight? "It is a fact that religion keeps people stupid."-Nummi "Have you seen religious people here, in CD, argue reality?" Surely even you know that CD doesn't even closely repesent the real world. Most intelligent people probably wouldn't bother arguing with the idiots who call themselves atheists on this site. "http://freethinker.co.uk/features/atheists-are-more-intelligent-than-religious-people/ " Congratulations for selecting a completely subjective source to back up your point, I'm not even going to dignify that website with a response as it is so biased. "You are the one who is assuming it agrees with your point. I need to read? I did... but you clearly didn't, or denied understanding it and instead made things up to suit your preferences. You are the one who's been misunderstanding what I have written, and the wikipedia pages you cannot understand. As I have said to you before, learn to understand what you read." Since you clearly need to be taught basic skills (such as debating) I am not going to teach you how to read a source. You said: "Britain did not create US. The first colonists who created it were from Britain and other countries. " Wikipedia (the source) says: "In 1674, the Dutch ceded their American territory to England; the province of New Netherland was renamed New York. Many new immigrants, especially to the South, were indentured servants—some two-thirds of all Virginia immigrants between 1630 and 1680. By the turn of the 18th century, African slaves were becoming the primary source of bonded labor in many regions. With the 1729 division of the Carolinas and the 1732 colonization of Georgia, the thirteen British colonies that would become the United States of America were established. All had local governments with elections open to most free men, with a growing devotion to the ancient rights of Englishmen and a sense of self-government stimulating support for republicanism. This means: That Britain did create the United States hence the source saying "the thirteen British colonies that would become the United States of America were established". The word "established" means created and that they were created by the "British". "Equal status to Britain means being another independent country. That means Britain did not create US, the people who live on that land created it" You clearly didn't read any of the sources, it is an indisputable fact that Britain created the United States. When they wanted equal status they didn't want to be an indepedeant country, they just didn't want to be seen inferior to Britain. "So wrong. Evolution is all science. No science supports creationism because there is no evidence while there is abundant evidence for evolution." You are so closeminded that it is a wonder you ever change your opinion (if you ever do). Anyway there are several Creaton-Evolution debates out there, so I would rather you discussed the topic there instead of dragging it here. "They are not opinions, they are facts, as I am certain I have already said many times." Once again, comments such as "When observing reality is exactly what I do and at the same time it is something your religion disallows, because observing reality would raise questions." and "It is a fact that religion keeps people stupid" are not facts they are opinions, the fact that you keep denying this just goes to prove my point that they are opinions which are fixed in your mind as fact. "Developing software means building it from scratch." Definition of developing -to grow or expand.

Surely even you know that CD doesn't even closely repesent the real world. Most intelligent people probably wouldn't bother arguing with the idiots who call themselves atheists on this site. Have you measured everyone's intelligence on this site? Atheists are far more intelligent than religious people. Atheists are actually allowed to think about reality and to consider it real, as should everyone mentally sane... Congratulations for selecting a completely subjective source to back up your point, I'm not even going to dignify that website with a response as it is so biased. Where's the proof it is biased? Care to provide some? Or is it simply your own opinion as is most (regard the "most" as "almost all") of the times? Since you clearly need to be taught basic skills (such as debating) I am not going to teach you how to read a source. ... The word "established" means created and that they were created by the "British". The British colonists created it (not only them since there were people from other countries also), not Britain... A country and its people are not the same. Nowhere on that site does it say Britain created or established the US. It's the same with inventing things. Countries don't invent, people do. Learn to understand what you read, as I've said many times already. You also seem to lack basic logic and reason. You clearly didn't read any of the sources, it is an indisputable fact that Britain created the United States. When they wanted equal status they didn't want to be an indepedeant country, they just didn't want to be seen inferior to Britain. You clearly cannot understand what you read. Equal status means being an independent country... You are so closeminded that it is a wonder you ever change your opinion (if you ever do). Anyway there are several Creaton-Evolution debates out there, so I would rather you discussed the topic there instead of dragging it here. Close-minded? Creationism makes no sense because it is backed up by some old and stupid book that contradicts itself. There is no evidence for creationism while there is so much evidence for evolution. And I am close-minded while I look at reality? You are the close-minded one, because you shut out reality. My opinions are based on reality (observation, evidence, logic), unlike yours. Give me any existing and valid evidence for creationism. You can't because there is none. Can you say the same about evolution? Yes, you can, but then you'd be lying. Once again, comments such as "When observing reality is exactly what I do and at the same time it is something your religion disallows, because observing reality would raise questions." and "It is a fact that religion keeps people stupid" are not facts they are opinions, the fact that you keep denying this just goes to prove my point that they are opinions which are fixed in your mind as fact. How can you not understand this - religion does not allow thinking about anything that goes against itself? That means thinking about reality, literally. How can that be so difficult to understand? See, you are religious and you are stupid, because your religion disallows you to think about, yes, that's right, reality. There are other examples on this site also, not just you. It is stupid to shut out reality, as religion demands. My opinions are based on reality (observation, evidence, logic). Definition of developing -to grow or expand. There's also: to elaborate or expand in detail to bring into being or activity; generate; evolve to come or bring into existence; generate or be generated It is the same with books and stories, games, movies, etc. The very first thing you need is an idea. Once you got that you can begin creating it, making it, developing it. And in this case Estonians developed it.

You wouldn't even be on this forum, ranting rubbish if it wasn't for a British man who inventing the first computer and a British Man who invented the internet.

You, too, come out of your little box. Britain is not everything.
318 days ago | Side: True
What the fuck is this little box you are talking about? You are stupid! Religion has nothing to do with intellegiance. Your entire argument against axmeister is bullshit. You don't provide evidence saying that it is obvious. You should always give evidence and given the way you rant, you do not know how to debate. Just give him facts on why scandinavia is the best.

Little box - it's like parts of the real world are blocked out by ignoring, avoiding, denying, willful ignorance, etc. A person's mind is closed, is narrow; the person only sees what he/she wants to see. I'm not stupid. But you certainly do make yourself look stupid. Religion has everything to do with intelligence, if a person is intelligent enough that person will see religion for what it really is - nonsense. Your entire argument against axmeister is bullshit. He is a delusional moron, he established himself as such a while ago. Anyway, if you could actually feel the tone of his argument and see what exactly he meant by it you'd notice he's an idiot. No one smart would say something like that and actually believe his own words. You don't provide evidence saying that it is obvious. As logical and as simple things as that don't require evidence. Those things should be inherently understandable for every single human. I dislike willful ignorance and stupidity rather much. You should always give evidence and given the way you rant, you do not know how to debate. Giving evidence is not always necessary. For example, when it is known or is obvious that the other party is delusional, or when it is something very simple and very easily logical. I know how to debate, and I also do it my way. There are no strict rules. I also do it for fun. Just give him facts on why scandinavia is the best. I did. And I even gave him more than that - logic. Did you read everything? Doubt you did.

True! If you're an elitist, patriotic, flag-waving zealot who happens to be British.

Of course it is, I don't understand why this is up for debate?

I don't understand why people are arguing to oppose that fact.

The Scandinavian countries are the best, very leftie and hardly any religious fanatics! I might move to Sweden. Our country, although much better than America, still has big problems, like rich arse bastard politicians making the rich richer and the poor poorer. We need to have a real choice again in parties, right now we just have a choice between posh twat in the blue tie and posh twat in the red tie.

1. It says I',m saying "this is true" but its false. 2. Over the course of history England has been one of the most imperialistic and warmongering countries ever, so no, they aren't the best country.

Hmmm, no not really! Fattest women in the whole of Europe, worst NHS in the whole of Europe, lowest life expectancy, highest un-employment rates, England kinda doesn't have seasons, its the middle of summer and its raining, the food is kinda bollocks and the government is crap. Good music and friendly people though! Not the worst country, just not the best!

I hate you. I hate how everyone believes I'm you. I hate how you ban people and I hate your religion. And my country of origin (UK) is a lovely place, but what they've done to the indigenous tribes of the countries they have 'discovered' is atrocious! In some cases, genocidal!

FALSE. You call a country with a monarchy good? Wow. And don't give me that, "oh, they have no power, they're just figureheads!" Figureheads to what? A system of government that oppressed the poor and gave them no opportunity? That nearly fucked the country forever? Yeah, monarchies are wonderful! Oh, and don't forget about their state religion! So damn progressive!
325 days ago | Side: True
How did the British Monarchy nearly "fuck the country forever"? Considering how our monarchial government conquered most of the world I don't see how you can say it's a bad thing.
324 days ago | Side: True
Figureheads to what A wonderful country - from what I hear Americans are jealous of the way our royal family exerts pomp. A system of government that oppressed the poor and gave them no opportunity There are several British charities helping the poor. In countries such as America, there is no NHS, and if the poor have health problems then they may be left to die. State religion Most people I know in Britain are Atheists, just as with many other countries. So damn impressive I have to agree there.
325 days ago | Side: True
A wonderful country Again, you choose to not look at the facts. Monarchs are a symbol of oppression of the poor. Ever heard a feudalism? The king and queen are the typical elitists that were appointed to power based on one thing: blood. While the U.S.A. was forming a civilized and democratic government, you were being lined up and shot for talking back to the king. if the poor have health problems then they may be left to die. Oh, come on. Really? You can walk into any hospital and receive care, regardless of your status with insurance. Most people I know in Britain are Atheists That's wonderful! I'm sure the grass is green as well. You still have a state religion. Oh, and the land that you keep trying to control, Ireland, has made abortion illegal. Dat progressiveness! While we suffer from obesity and greediness, we are one of the most progressive countries in the world. We have some of the greatest minds of all time.
325 days ago | Side: True
"Again, you choose to not look at the facts." This is coming from a person who's opening argument was 100% opinion "While the U.S.A. was forming a civilized and democratic government, you were being lined up and shot for talking back to the king." While Britain had abolished the slave trade, America was torturing them for wanting to be free. "While we suffer from obesity and greediness, we are one of the most progressive countries in the world. We have some of the greatest minds of all time." We've had several more geniuses in Britain than America's had.

Several more geniuses that America's had Yet there are more people in America. Quality? Britain. Quantity? America.

Monarchs are a symbol of oppression to the the poor I think that this is a very clouded, pessimistic outlook on society. It is of course a matter of opinion what you personally feel but if the monarchy is such a bad thing then why did almost everyone I know celebrate the jubilee, rich and poor? In the past the monarchy may have been appointed to power through blood but that is no longer the case, now we live in a more civilised world with more advanced standards and we work to maintain them (unlike other countries). You still have a state religion I know, and many people across England are currently campaigning to remove the connection between the Church of England and our current political state. Personally, I do not think this is a bad thing. Links to the Church of England mean that perspectives are more broad and we live in more of a democracy. We have some of the greatest minds of all time Several countries have people who are mentally advanced. However if I were to choose between which education system is better between Britain and America I would choose Britain. In America there are schools with thousands of people in whereas I think you would be hard pressed to find a single one like that here. Having smaller schools is a good thing because the classes can be smaller, allowing for more private and higher quality tuition, and everyone feels more comfortable, for there are never people that they have never seen in their lives. Britain has some great minds too: Brian Cox Stephen Hawking William Shakespeare... Would you like more examples, I can think of loads.

America a progressive country yeah right, a country were not everyone has equal rights can hardly be termed as progressive Whilst Kings and Queens in the past were a symbol of oppression the modern Royal Family does a lot for Charity, they also serve in the Forces both the present Princes have spent time in Afganistan serving alongside regular troops If you dont have insurance in America you dont get hospital care, under the NHS you get the medical care you need regardless. If you have a long term illness you dont even have to pay for your medication Britain does not have a state religion, there is the Church Of England not Britain, in England the only person who has to be a member of this Church is the Monarch (King or Queen) everyone else has the freedom to folllow their Religion of choice Britain does not keep trying to control Ireland, Southern Ireland (Eire) is not part of Britain Northern Ireland is and the Army only got involved in the troubles in Northern Ireland because the Irish Government could not control what was happening there and asked for help from Britain, after years of negotiation Northern Ireland has governed itself since 2010 and it has only taken that long because Britain insisted on diarmament and a peace agreement from the terrorist factions operating in Northern Ireland so that when the army pulled out the country would not slip back into violence

I think it's shit when you ban people from voicing an opinion in your debates just because they used a different set of words than you. If I were to go around typing "fuck you" to everyone on your debates, that's one thing, but swear words are a perfectly acceptable way to get your damn point across, and, in fact, they offer up a whole spectrum of emotion that is otherwise difficult to convey. And, come on, how many words in the English language are as versatile and as distinct as "fuck?" I've had my many disagreements with Jungelson, but to ban his commentary on the bitch-ass method of labeling both sides of an either-or debate with your opinion because he said "douche" is, well, douchey. And douche is hardly even a swear word.

I say this because whenever someone restricts their debate to make it "clean," I find myself constantly having to censor myself in order to not offend peoples delicate, virgin sensibilities. When I look at the final product of my censored post, I see something that is neither as powerful as what I originally intended nor a true representation of what I actually want to say/my vernacular. And this bothers me. Ban me or not, this is how I feel and I think you ought to at least consider it before banning people, thus ending any contribution of new or challenging ideas. Or at least give a warning before you silence someone.

At one time? Yes. Now? No. Many countries have held "best" status over time.... Egypt, Greece, Roman Empire, English Empire, United States, and coming soon.... China. I will give an honorable mention to Spain, France, USSR, Germany, and Japan.

Britain is the best country or not it depends in which way, if you talk about culture, food, climate, neighbourhood, life, bond between families, respect of your elders, feelings etc etc then it is not the best country even it is the worst country. if you talk about money, alcohol, universities then we might say this is good but not the best country.
