I'm 17 and I wear a kilt to school. It's pretty easy to prevent the scenarios in both pictures, and just for the record, you don't have to be Scottish to wear a Kilt.

Unfortunately I put my prior answer on the wrong side. I support boys and men wear skirts and or skorts. In younger males it should be skorts. Skorts are full knee length skirts with shorts sewn into them with the hem of the shorts about 1-2 inches shorter then the hem of the skirt. Why this, well as displayed in the top picture, modesty would be preserved. Of course some type of undergarment would still need to be had here in America because a person could get arrested for exposing themselves in public. I mean an occasional flash of underwear (like women do) is harmless.

NOOOOOOOO that is scary. Scottish or not this is 2009 it's a little to weird for me to feel comfortable around a guy that wears a skirt, weird. Unless I'm in their country on their turf i guess alright then it's their custom, even though they like their ball-sacks hanging out and all, very creepy custom if you ask me.

That is not right for boys to were skirts to schools

but if the boy don't play on the same team so go a head but other wise i don't think boys should wear skirts

um...that's just screams gay to me...i mean guys arent supposed to wear skirts...stick to pants and shorts guys.....idk who would even want to wear a skirt. Im a girl and im like the biggest tom-boy ever. I wear clothes that look preppy but down deep i am like a big hillbilly. (hence Tennessee)

I support boys wearing skirts. Your pictures show men exposing themselves in kilts. KILTS are not classified as skirts. Men have been wearing skirts since Roman times. They are designed for men, to wear on the hips like pants. Boys have worn them up to 1940, up to age 15. So wheres the problem. The fear is the loss of dominating masculinity. Is a women less of a woman because she wears pants? No, no more then a man/boy is less of a male for wearing a skirt. This is step that has to be made for gender equaility, NO OTHER REASON.
