Can good be used for evil? Why or why not?

It can. What is good to one group is evil to another. Protecting America by eliminating dangerous groups is "good" to Republicans. It is "bad" to Democrats. Gay marriage is good to one side. It is evil to another side. So yes, good can be used for evil.

Of course it can.

1) Persecution in the name of religion - like the Spanish Inquisition. In the name of God and all things holy and good they tortured and killed a massive number of civilians.

2) Giving scraps and wastes to the needy. On the one hand you're feeding the desperate, on the other they're getting rotten or half eaten stuff while you just had a beautiful meal for yourself.

3) Pro life. Save that poor baby at all cost, but don't help fund the social programs for the desperate mother, or the medical programs for the baby's conditions, or adopt it yourself. Just leave it and it's mother to suffer. Yet walk away thinking you're morally superior because you opposed abortion.

4) Anti-euthanasia for the chronically ill. Save their soul by not letting them commit suicide and save your own by not helping them die. But then watch them suffer excruciatingly, and continue to bankrupt the family they love.

5) Hurting the few so you can help the many. Such as putting the dump or the polluting plant on the poor side of the tracks because the rest of the town doesn't want to be near it.

6) Basic brainwashing. Forcing your religion or your politics into your kids' heads so completely they can't understand anything else. Or controlling as a cult and not letting people choose to leave.

7) Giving free things which taken to excess do harm. Maybe sharing a drug helps them in the beginning, but frequency and quantity may later do them immense harm.

I'm sure there are more.

Just because you start out with good intentions doesn't mean you didn't facilitate some evil.

Most things are made good by the uses they are put to. So if a thing is put to evil use, then it cannot, in that context, be good.

Things they may be considered to have inherent good, such as certain principles, cannot be put to evil use without skewing or misrepresenting the thing that has inherent good. Thus it is not the a good itself being used for evil, but a mere image of good. For example, if you are using Justice for evil, then what you have is not Justice.

Democrats call it a good thing to give women the right to kill even viable unborn babies.

These pious Leftists lack the basic moral knowledge to even understand how barbaric and inhuman they are for supporting such evil.

Just because people on the Left live in some kind of Liberal lala land whereby they actually believe they are the compassionate ones, does not make it so.

They are beyond evil when supporting infanticide, but actually think of themselves as being good.

They look at good people such as Christians and paint them as evil because Christians make them feel bad about killing unborn babies. Do you see how it works? The Left demonises good people for shining a light on the Left's evil.

Without fail, when the Left insults Christians, you will notice they always bring up so called past atrocities of the Crusades, etc. and never give examples of evil from Christians today, that we can all verify and understand.

The Lerft must always resort to past events unless of course it is concerning the Democrat Party supporting slavery a few hundred years ago. Then all of a sudden past atrocities has nothing to do with the Democrats of today.

Different century, different victims. Democrats no longer support slavery. Today they support killing our most innocent viable babies.
