Can we all agree that gay people do NOT choose to be gay?
Can we all agree that people are born gay and that they are NOT able to change and become heterosexual anymore than they can physically change their eye color?
It's based off me you arse. I am Bisexual and I know I can not choose to be so fuck off. Who the hell are you to tell people that there sexuality is there choice?

That write up is just pushing the onus over to the other side.
They do not go about proving the writers of the bible were inspired by god, it just asks for someone to show they were not. This is the negative proof fallacy in action again.

It's pretty simple it's not a choice, right? I'll add a very, very, important statistic before I jump into the anecdotal/emotional appeal.
72% of all LGBT had no conscious choice in their sexuality. This is credit to the APA (the American Psychological Association http://www.apa.org/helpcenter/sexual-orientation.aspx) ) Does that make any sense, whatsoever, if it wasn't a choice? That 72% of LGBT would simply lie about their choice in their sexuality?

-Would you choose to be kicked out of your home?

The fact that the LGBT had impact on the APA, does not mean that the LGBT changed study results through the APA. That statement, in no way, discredits my statistic.
With respect, many form of therapy that tackle sexual or personality disorders have a negative effect on mental stability initially. The idea is that over time you achieve what you want to achieve irrespective of the suffering that it cases.

This assertion does not come from the homosexual community, but rather from those outside of it who lack any kind of knowledge or perspective regarding the thought processes of homosexuals.
There is less than zero basis to make the claim, and tons of evidence that suggests exactly the opposite. Near as I can tell, it's an attempt to make a bigoted directive in the Torah seem less bigoted by framing it as a choice.
If one must insist that being gay is a choice, I ask them to test it themselves by pulling up some gay/lesbian pornography (depending) and stimulating themselves to it. Let them make the choice temporarily, and 'prove' it to themselves by achieving a climax in this way. They can repent to their God after, but if they are unable (or unwilling) to enjoy something sexual with the non-preferred sex by choice, I consider their stance thoroughly debunked. Even if they ARE able to enjoy it, it hasn't proved that sexuality is a choice, as the individual may well be suppressing certain things about themselves in favor of their agenda.
If it was a choice: are we all born bisexual and then choose to be either straight or gay? Why would anyone choose to be gay, anyway? There is no reason to. Gay people are discriminated against at varying levels around the world, from cyber-bullying to execution.

When people say their born gay, they actually mean it. When the person is nothing but a forming egg, the testosterone and estrogen goes into the egg. When the Body is formed those two hormones land in certain places. Guess where they land, the brain. Proving that a lot of people are born gay or lesbian.
It the same with my friend. He never have a choice. He wanted to be normal. But he was betrayed by his sexual feelings. But still back to topic. Gays didn't have a choice. They were born like that.

Sexuality is attraction. One does not actively choose who they do or do not find attractive. Therefore, homosexuals do not choose to be gay. It is incredibly sad how completely and utterly devoid of reason the arguments on the other side are, as they are based on either A. The bible, which has nothing to do with whether or not sexuality is a choice, or B. Pure and utter immature reactions, i.e. "Homosexuality is gross".
What about bestiality? Do people who have sex with animals have a choice? Is it immature to think of bestiality as gross? What about pedophilia? Who gets to decide where the line is drawn and where do they draw the line? Just playing devil's advocate ;)
I wouldn't say that any of them have a choice in the objects of their attraction. I'm certainly not attracted to any dog I've seen, and there is nothing I could do to MAKE myself attracted to a dog. Same deal with a little kid, as far as I know.
Homosexuality in and of itself is victimless, though. Pedophilia, not so much. We draw the line when it comes to children because we don't believe children to be capable of making informed consent; the same logic is often applied to bestiality, though admittedly that's far more of a grey area.
Well I highly doubt the body has any complaints, but it could conceivably be a pretty traumatizing event should the "in laws" find out. Even if we decided necrophilia isn't wrong per se, most cases of necrophilia would involve trespassing at the very least!

Well, I don't really agree with you, because there are contradictions. The Bible doesn't say slavery is good, it just mentions slavery... But it also condemns it. You could look at the verses where it mentions slavery and say, "I thought God said that shit wasn't allowed?" and then assume that means that the Bible condones slavery, or you could look at the one verse that specifically says that it is an offense punishable by death.

I did not choose to be straight. I assume that human sexuality works the same for other people. Therefore, I believe that homosexuals don't choose to be gay. Not following it blindly. But, I didn't provide the information earlier.

I certainly don't think one can just choose what gets their rocks off, but that doesn't mean your sexuality is stagnant throughout your life. It may not be as easy as straight or gay for some people. A lot of people straddle on their orientation, and those people should be who we look to when we ask these kinds of questions. How much is choice, how much is predisposition, and how much does it ultimately matter whether it is one or the other? Choices define people no less than their genes, and if someone chooses to date someone of their own sex, I don't see how anyone would have the right to question them.
