No matter what you eat, you are going to die.

Being a vegan doesn't say anything about what you eat. The only thing that says is that you don't consume animal products.

Do I feel healthy? Very healthy. My diet is pretty heavy on the veggies though, I eat broccoli, kale, and spinach all the time. Sometimes I eat quinoa or beans and rice. Fruits are good for sexual health. Watermelon is good, so are pomegranates

But yeah, asking for proof? If you are not convinced, then it isn't proof to you. What you are asking for is unreasonable, especially if you have it in your head that you aren't going to change your mind. Mountains of evidence could be presented to you, and all you have to do is reject all of it and it isn't proof anymore.

Really though, no matter what you eat.. You are going to die. You will probably even get sick at times.

I'm happy not eating animals. I don't miss eating animals. It doesn't seem very appealing to me.

No matter what an athlete eats, they will retire some day.

This doesn't make Michael Phelps and Usain Bolt less superior in their diet and training.

I believe that there are plenty of vegan diets that are superior to animal based diets in many ways.

What makes a diet superior? What kind of health are we talking about? There are vegan athletes. I do a lot of exercise. I feel healthy eating my veggies. I climb up and down cliffs. I spin staves. I am constantly moving when at work. I also happen to have a broken back and nerve damage in my right arm from some very hard living in my youth. I do not eat animals, and live a very healthy and active lifestyle despite the fact that I could be considered disabled.

It works for me and what I am doing. That is what I can see from a physical health standpoint. My reasons for not eating the flesh of dead animals has more to do with knowing where it came from than anything. I've lived too close to the animals to not be at least a little spooked at how much they are really like people. I can't in good conscience eat these little critters. It doesn't seem right to me. I do not have the faith to eat animals. To those who have the faith to eat animals, I do not hold anything against you. I am not saying you are doing anything wrong. I am saying that just as a child might wretch at the idea of eating broccoli, that is how I feel about eating meat. Am I to condemn all the carnivores? I am not advocating that we shovel mountains of kittens into furnaces.

But yeah, I feel pretty healthy. I think the idea that you can't be a healthy vegan is a myth. Probably a myth perpetuated by people who sell pieces of animal carcass or people who desperately want to believe in the necessity of eating animal body parts.

Eating animals is not necessary. Why do I need a reason to not eat animals? Maybe I think they deserve more dignity.
