I agree that sandwiches can be made by one piece of bread: an open-faced sandwich or what you call as canapes but it is just an appetizer it won't fill your stomach or hunger.

This can be proved other wise:

let a=b, a and b are Natural Numbers.

(a+b)(a+b)= a.a + 2.a.b + b.b = b.b + b.b + 2.a.b

=> 2(b.b + a.b) = 2(a.a)

=> 4(a.a)=2(a.a)

Now by dividing both sides by 2(a.a), we get

2=1;

Hence proved!

This does not apply when b=0 because technically, mathematically, the reason you are able to cancel out a multiplier in an equation is that you are dividing by it on both sides and it "cancels itself out"

And again, you cannot divide by zero.

The problem is the 'subtract by (a-b)' part.

Taking the assumption in the first part that a = b, then a - b = 0.

You cannot divide by zero.

Very interesting ! however students of algebra will realize of course that, when you find it necessary to define two variables, it would have to be only because they are expected to be different i.e. a cannot = b; only then there is a need to define two variables of a and b. it is a violation of the rules of assigning variable names of 'a ' and 'b ' when both the variables are equal to one another.

Thus the construction of the equation a=b on the reason that a=1 and b=1 is wrong ( I am commenting on the video titled amazing math trick that proves 2=1 )

In order for this to work you are going to have to assume that dividing by zero equals zero.

Start out with this

1/0=0

2/0=0

then

1 = 0 0

2= 0 0

And as we know any number that you multiply by zero equals zero so...

1=0

2=0

and finally

1=2

since:

Since 2 is defined as 1 + 1 (at least in base 3 and above), 2 != 1. If 1 = 2, then mathematics would fall apart because everything would equal everything else. Example: 666 = 1337 (which may or may not be true ;) ).

2 = 3
