Hello d:

The source of funding ISN'T a good way to determine whether a school is good or bad.

What’s Really Wrong with Detroit Public Schools

Detroit Public Schools have the worst test scores and graduation rates in the nation, but there are more problems plaguing the district. Detroit Public Schools’ students recently won the award of the worst math scores in the National Assessment of Educational Progress’ 40-year history.

Source of funding in Detroit is a very good way to show their schools are bad. So where are all the taxpayer dollars going CON !

I'm not really against charter schools, I'm just not really for them either, and there is no intermediate answer in the response choices.

Look, innovation can be good. Sometimes shake ups work. Sometimes you get a winning combination. But that also means sometimes they don't. Sometimes they fail mid year or after only a short experiment. And meanwhile society coughed up money, either by individual families or through public funding, and it lined someone's pocket, and they've walked away from it a little richer while the kids and families are left with nothing.

The only sure bet, the only safety net that is there when charter schools go belly up, is the public schools. And despite all the many problems that many public schools have it is still essential that public schools exist. Too often the charter school boosters are just looking for a reason to shift resources from one type of school to the other, and to some extent to divert them into their own pockets.

Boston Public Schools in trouble for massive overpay of consultant

Boston Public Schools employees manipulated receipts to pay a consultant a whopping $2,000 a day for work instead of the $40 an hour required by contract, according to a city watchdog report that calls for immediate oversight at BPS.

And while BPS officials say no one is alleged to have made a profit from the manipulations, Boston Finance Commission executive director Matt Cahill said taxpayers were still on the hook.

Mean while public schools in Boston are looking to line the pockets of consultants as they walk away a little richer and leaving taxpaying families on the hook for it.

Amazing to see how uninformed you Leftist are and sad part about it you prove it.
