I have boys , 3 and 1, and we already have a massive library of childrens books, and we try to include diversity, but despite our efforts they're still overwhelmingly male, especially white male (except when animals are the males). And this is well documented as a problem in children's literature... Although I personally expect Chelsea's book will kind of suck, at least it's an attempt to show being a strong woman is OK. And really, what is wrong with that? You can hate all things Clinton, and that I understand, but why would you begrudge against a book teaching little girls that they should persist instead of giving in or giving up? My other beef in general with childrens books is too many are stupidly planned or arranged. For example: 1) Showing a chimpanzee but then labeling it a monkey 2) Showing a whale on a page about fish 3) Depicting a cow with utters as a boy 4) Having way too few words on pages way too big so you spend more time trying to flip to continue the story than you do actually reading 5) Having one button that makes the same noise for an entire book about different kinds of trucks and macines 6) Confusing steam engines with diesels 7) Using inobvious animals or colors that don't match the story - meaning if the story were about digging you should use an animal that digs and not a deer. If two animals have names the red one should be called red and not the other way around. 8) Glamorizing bad behavior 9) Depicting adults as fools 10) Having climaxes/endings which are simply abrupt There is plenty more to gripe about with children stories than just picking on Chelsea Clinton writing one. You offer a worthless ramble with poor sentence construction and no contribution. Basically you say I personally have to fix this. So now I'm supposed to replace every children story author in the world? And for pointing this out as a parent I must be a Democrat? Ridiculous. Side: You go girl.

So go check out Pakistan, and come back with a full report on women's "empowerment". Then keep dragging Islamists into the West and Western women can see it all first hand. This is just more of activist Progressives pushing a narrative so they can transform America into yet one more dead European Socialist nation, giving women the right to kill viable baby girls for any reason up to birth. I'm so sick of hearing about the aspirtions of "Liberal" women only, because conservative women are told by the Left to shut up and sit down when it comes to their women's marches, etc. The hypocrisy from these feminist women is truly pathetic. If you are a prolife woman, they can not stand your compassion for our most defenseless babies. They can't stand it when you say you would rather sacrifice some financial benefits and be a home maker so you can give your child the most secure start in life possible. We all know a woman can be anything she wants to be, as long as she is not a corrupt perjurer putting our classified Government documents at risk. These activists think this women power is something new. Yeh, we saw their power during the women's hate march, with their speakers telling us all how they thought about blowing up the Whitehouse, and that they were very nasty angry women. Mark my words, as soon as we get our first Conservative woman running for President, these feminists will be out their crucifying her just as they did Sarah Palin when she was runing for vice President. I totally agree, feminism and leftist idealogy all have a double standard when it comes to the rights of women, the left constantly besmirches conservative women while trying to justify their pro choice stances as something moral and upright. Definitely says a lot when Madonna speaking at the woman's marches says she thought about blowing up the white house, these are the women young females are supposed to look up to. Feminists like Chelsea seek to demean the role of fathers and men in society while exhalting themselves as justification of woman's empowerment. Side: STFU Chelsea
