This site is turning into crazy right wing malitia support group. You guys on the other side sit around patting eachother on the back for your backwards views all day long. The article clearly says they start "99%" of meetings with Christian prayers. They shouldn't begin any government function with psychotic babbling to mythical characters of any sort, but if they are going to anyway, who the hell cares which mythical character they're babbling to? For a group who cry about "individual freedom" at every opportunity, you on the other side sure do put your nose in other people's business a lot. Side: Perfectly fine, I'm OK with it

It's inappropriate for a government institution to encourage, endorse, or support any specific religion. If they felt a need to show solidarity towards their Muslim neighbors, there would have been many other options rather than an explicit endorsement of Islam by the city. Side: WTF?!

Separation of Church and State means, to liberals, Separation of the Christian Church and State, whereas it's fine to allow the religion known to be a major source of terrorism throughout the world to fuse with the State. This is why we've got that pesky (to liberals) second amendment! Side: WTF?!

Do you really believe its a source of terrorism, because that seems like such an oversimplification of many complex and long acting social forces. How about we blame terrorism on colonialism, or imperialism, because those have to do with it as well, or how about genocide(because so and so invaded). The Demonification(ha, made up word) of enemies has always been a long standing practice, but it also seems to often be overly general and apply to categories which include more then your opponent. Perhaps this makes it seems like there are more then there are, justifying more extreme acts by amplifying the perceived threat. Side: Perfectly fine, I'm OK with it

Muslims have been waging war against the Christians since Muslims founding. Demonification Demonization. Side: WTF?!
