Climate change is a danger for arctic and antarctic animals

It is usually accepted that climate change happens and affects oceans and Earth as an ecosystem. This further may endanger the lives of the animals in areas around the North and South Poles.

Climate change means ice sea losses and this change I think puts for example the polar bear in danger. There are several effects that affect the polar bears. The rate of the cub survival is decreasing, their acces to food is reduced and their body condition is in decay. Scientists predict that as the climate is changing , two-thirds of the polar bears could disappear in this century.

Climate changes will affect seabirds such as ivory gull and little auks. They will be negatively impacted by the decline of sea ice and changes to the communities in which they live. The ivory gull has its nest on rocky cliffs that protect it from predators, but it flies to the nearby sea ice to fish through cracks in the ice and scavenge on top of the ice. As the ice edge retreats further from their nests, severe consequences are at stake.

Climate change will effect EVERYONE and EVERYTHING with drought, Floods, storms, pollution of the air and water! As the ice melts, the permafrost begins to emit swamp gas from decaying vegetation that has been frozen for eons!, That will further pollute the air and water. Already the Russians are losing huge forests due to disease and insects that the extreme low temps kept at bay! Huge "town sized" holes are being blown out of the landscape by the build-up of Methane gas! I can't fathom the stupidity of the largely American RW that would rather call "natural" what 98% of the world calls a "man made disaster"! (mostly, that is!)

The Arctic is an array of animals, plants and people that survive in some of the most extreme conditions on the planet and that are uniquely adapted to such conditions. Climate change is a danger for Arctic because put an increasing pressure on fragile Arctic populations and ecosystems.

Although they are placed at opposite poles, Arctic and Antarctic continents have a lot of similarities, and the animals which lives in this places are familiar with the existent climate, so every change in the clime will become dangerous for all the species. For example, the increase of sea temperature will affect the animals which couldn't live in the absence of sea ice, so this kind of change will lead to the death of animals.

Everybody knows that the sea temperature is going up in a way that wasn't predicted and this should make us more worried for the Arctic and Antarctic fauna. Animals that live around those areas are very sensitive to small shifts in temperature which means that some animals lose their ability to swim or to hide and they become more susceptible to predators.

I think that the climate change is a danger for arctic and antarctic animals.A large fluctuation in temperature can severely affect animals in the area. The animals from those areas are accustomed to the cold climate and large temperature changes can lead to sick animals or even death of them. In time, climate change may lead to the disappearance of some species.

I`m very sure that climate change is a huge danger for arctic/antarctic animals.

First of all polar bears give birth and hunt on sea ice and they need it to travel from one region to another. But because of changing climate, sea ice will eventually melt so less winter sea ice means that female polar bears have to go longer without food, which impacts their fat stores, and, in turn, their reproductive success.

Secondly not only polar bears will be in danger but so will be : seals, sea birds, walruses etc.
