Columbus sailed for Spain, is racist symbol...Indigenous People Day

Thanks but no thanks for the holiday, 500+ years after the fact...

Columbus explored for Spain. Now the left tells us he's a symbol of racism. Finally, they tell us to let the Spanish conquistadors' ancestors cross our borders at will. At least get your fake outrage narrative straight and aligned with reality and common sense...

Spain??? They're Mexicans, right???

What is now Mexico was conquered by the Spanish. Kind of like Canada was taken by the French and the British, and the U.S. was taken by British colonists. Why do you think Mexico speaks Spanish rather than Aztec, etc? Yes, Mexicans are descendents of the imperialist, European, Spanish conquistadors.

The point? Why are you demanding Columbus Day be replaced with Indigenous People Day because Columbus was a founder of Spanish, European conquest, but want our southern border open to the descendents of Spanish, European, imperialist conquest?

The second point. You're 500+ years late. Don't start kissing brown ass now.

Well they are predominantly European descendents just like the U.S.

Statistically they do commit rape at a disproportionate rate. I know I know. Facts sometimes get in the way of how it makes you feel to support God knows what.

I've got no problem with calling the holiday Indigenous People Day. And to be honest, I'm not a big fan of it anyway and my work doesn't usually give it off to us.

But with that said, I'm kind of sick and tired of people sanitizing every holiday, either in its content or name. Heck when the religious try to ban Halloween then those of us who are traditionalist respond with the "what's the big deal" line of arguments. And yet Halloween, depending on whose analysis you turn to, is about evil things and death. Columbus day may indeed be about evil things and death, too, but then why does Columbus get the name makeover but Halloween doesn't have to become "Happy Thoughts" day?

Heck you are a traditionalist hey traditionalist has there been a religious try to rename Halloween. Liberals are the one's that want to sanitize every holiday you know like Christmas. Merry Christmas can't be said it has to Happy Holidays so not to offend.

Staying on track is difficult for the traditionalist and your line of arguments.

It took about 30 seconds to find a decent example of conservatives both embracing and losing their sh!t over Halloween.
