Communism: Good or Not?

Me as myself however respects the views of Communsim and it's past/future leaders, for i believe Communsim is a good system; if properly executed, You all have seen what Communism can do if not properly executed.

The history behind is fascinating, you should get into it, really it is interesting.

hmmm ive never been much of a history person but sure ill give it a shot and look at it a bit btw would you mind answering my last debate about abortion?

Communism as well as Capitalism are both perfect systems created with perfect humans in mind. But that is their issue. They require people be perfect. To be absent of evil and the temptations to behave with evil. This is what makes both systems fatally flawed, but otherwise perfect.

With that said, I think communism is good. I think idealistic realism is good. Communism lacks a quality of realism in a very important area, but otherwise is a very valiant goal to work towards. It's good because it's something to look up to and hope for.

Because the hope for communism to work is the same as the hope for humanity to cease being evil.

Capitalism is not a system, it is the lack of a centralized system.

Communism is an economic system characterized by social ownership by means of production and co-operative management of the economy.

Like any poorly defined political theory it has it's strengths and shortcomings. Simply labeling it good or bad is retarded.

I was saying good or bad to you, not in general. My actions are not "Mentally Challenged", people a mentally challenged, NOT words.

Good in theory. Bad in practice.

Since in theory it requires absolutely no corruption and an assumption of an inherent good in all mankind, it fails miserably in the real world application.

tl;dr: It sucks.

I think Communism looks good on paper, and could work, but the problem is the fact that the people who serve as the leaders in a Communist system always abuse their power because they system never provides any sort of watchdog or voting or anything to stem that.

Not to mention the massive headache of finding replacement leaders. There is lots of massive in-fighting. (See Stain vs. Trosky) :)

I would disagree. I wouldn't compare Communism against Capitalism, even though that's we're many argue to. Instead, I believe Communism is a type of government, not an economic or political belief. Communism is the belief that everything must be shared equally, which can be good. However, as previously stated by another, people need to perfect and agree with everything for it to work. People, however, are not. Many believe that earning something, only for it to be given to someone else, is wrong. You reap what you sow, not someone else reaps what you sow. Communism is also usually enforced by the barrel of a gun. As I like to say, a communist is a socialist with a gun. Socialism and communism have the same goal, just different ways of getting there. When our founding fathers formed our country, they didn't want a socialist system. Even though socialism and communism wasn't given a name until the turn of the century, it was still a real thing in the 1700's. Towards the end of the Greek and Roman empires, the people and country reverted to socialism and communism. Looked what happened to them! They were once great empires overthrown by their own need for a perfect society, or socialism. People grew lazy and dependent on the government for sustenance. Sound familiar? It happened in Russia, China, N.Korea, and the inklings of it are happening in the United States. Our country was founded on the liberty of the individual, not the group as a whole. That's why we have GOD given rights, not privileges given by the government. I, for one, would die fighting for my liberties. Communism can't offer that to me. They will only take it away.
