I mean, you have to be more specific. There are games on the computer specifically designed for kids and there are other games which are made for adults.

I feel as though computer games or console games are good for younger kids. I played when I was a child and I have gotten really into politics and philosophy. I took pride in games when I played them and the feeling of booting up this amazing game with this great mechanics and new things, was the best feeling in the world.

Plus an introduction into technology is a great and beautiful thing. With new professions and careers opening up and the rapidly expanding realm of technology. It doesn't hurt to ne introduced.

I always marveled at the aesthetics a game offered, voice acting, collection of items for me to search to and scoured for.

Plus its been said that first person shooter games cause rapid and on the spot thinking, increased reflexes.

Strategy games cause more long, creative, and critical thinking.

And you might believe that some games cause violence and violent tendency's, but with what ive seen it tends to relieve stress and tension.

But I will admit that it does leave an eerie knowledge of weapons in a Childs mind and some even gain a better accuracy and extreme knowledge on certain weapons. But you cant label everyone who knows how to use a gun (not hard for a child to know how, a lot of gun culture and parents even teach their very young kids to use them) but none of that makes a child violent.

of course nudity is soooo different. depends on the level of nudity, age of the child, and context the game puts it in. full blown sex scene where there's just people screwing and what not, id say no for children under 15. An accidental boob shot or and ass shot. its not a big deal. Id say 7 and under. But take in affect of the child maturity. All this is average and all is subject to the child's maturity.

I agree, I'm sure the news has been much more scarring to 10 year olds than SimCity !

I just think your statement is too broad. There are computer games designed for all age ranges, including tutorial games to help poor students become better students. If you mean violent games you need to define your debate more carefully.

I feel he is aiming for the more violent side of gaming as most try to blame that side of gaming for mass shooting and things like that which is just stupid gaming does not make anyone want to shoot up a school or anything else of the sort.

Fair enough. I think the link between violent video games and violent behavior is disproven by the fact that almost all adolescent boys have played those before they're adult yet only a tiny fraction of them go on to commit violence.

I played them. I haven't hurt anyone. You too, I assume.
