I use to like country when it did describe life. Today, it doesn't. Today, it talks about getting drunk, someone cheated on someone, and "I'm a hillbilly and thats how all the South is". Really, todays country music is terrible. 80s and 90s country was the best. Talked about love and life. That's what all music should have been liked. At least people back then could actually play the guitar. However, I will add one for country. Side: Country!!!!

Country music tells more of a story then pop. Pop is just stupid music that talks about inapropriate things which little kIt's listen to which is why society is very shameful these days cow kids grow up listened no to that music and hearing what the people are talk No about in the song and is making the kids think oh this person did this so it must be okay Side: Country!!!!

Pop music is Pop music, it is more geared towards the liking of the public. The public, being a younger audience(such as a teenage audience). People who like country can be young, but a large amount of them are adults and more "mature" individuals(which would explain why they don't like pop all that much). I've come to like all music, except for country.(At least the Poppy stuff like Taylor Swift. Which i don't think is really country at all.) I like pop music better. DJ Earworm 2011 Top 25 Mashup

Pop, it differs much more than country. You can have rock, blues, even folk entwined in to pop. Country, it's all pretty much the same. I'd prefer to walk down the street whistling "rockin all over the world" by status quo! Rather than some guy with straw and a banjo talking about how his momma did this and that! Now to be honest, I actually don't mind country (audience boos). By "I actually don't mind country," I don't mind late 90s early 2000s country, such as your Shania Twains, Tim McGraws, Faith Hills, Allison Krauss. I choose pop because while I'm not really a fan of Katy Perry or Rihanna, I prefer it over today's country which is about getting drunk, or selling your soul by collaborating with Nelly. That being said, I do like country pop crossover songs such as Don't You Wanna Stay by Jason Aldean ft. Kelly Clarkson, If I Die Young by The Band Perry, Need You Now by Lady Antebellum, Just A Kiss by Lady Antebellum, Before He Cheats by Carrie Underwood, basically country songs that also count as pop songs.
