DO YOU HATE MUSLIMS?
Cuz I need to know.. Burning Koran and hating us. I don't hate any of the christians or jews or even an atheist. I fast 30 days, occassionaly perform namaz, have the Koran. But I do not carry a bomb in my hand bag all the time or curse people of other religions or grow on anger. Why am I a part of the most hated community?
Is it cuz my community has grown on stench left by burnt ashes?
Or cuz humanity has lost the value of true judgement?
And do you hate me or my mother or my father only because my son is going to be cicumcised as a muslim or cuz my sister wears a naqab over her face?
Do i hate them all no do i dislike the people in dearborn mich yes alot they hate us and the people who killed the americans they are horriable human beings....
The view above isnt my ideas. I personally dont like a thing about the religion and what it teaches. Its evil, manipulative, cruel, and absurd. Go watch the movie Not Without MY Daughter. The middle east is fucked up. That whole religion is a breeding ground for evil.
I don't hate Muslims, however, having read the Quran and understanding than most religious texts, I dislike the religion of Islam.
Now if you would like to argue why I am wrong, go ahead, but if you call me a racist or islamaphobe you are not better than a Soviet calling someone a Koolak cause they lack the intellect to argue.
I wouldent say that I nessisarally HATE them but the Koran dose teach that non. Muslems are just animals who must be converted, or killed or enslaved so Muslems no I don't hate them as peaple but I DO hate the religion
WRONG read it in Arabic not some senseless translation (it says just the opposite and is very very similar to Christianity, Judaism, the Bahia faith ,the people who's name I forgot but know that it starts with an 'H' and lived at the time of Abraham and quite allot of other people) in fact if you go deeper like travel to India or Yemen or something and find actual (not the Al-Qaida junk who call them selves crusaders) Priests(notice i said priest) you'll find some startling beliefs about Hinduism,Buddhism and the beliefs of some Native American tribes and a tiny African tribe(whose name I can't remember) which is extremely isolated from any Abrahamic expansion influence(not converted or contacted by Christians, Muslims nor Jews)
People Do read Arabic you don't have to be Muslim or even Arabian (I do, I can read but can't converse I learn cause of a friend [from my many travels throughout the globe] who learnt it since childhood ) It isn't dead what do you think all middle eastern countries speak in and why is it an official language of the UN if it's dead? I don't see Latin on the list?
I don't judge people by their race, religion or nationality its all about how they act and what they say and most of the Muslims I've met have been really nice people anyone that judges someone because of their race etc is an idiot
But I do not carry a bomb in my hand bag all the time Ummm.... does that mean you do carry a bomb in your handbag sometimes??? Yikes! But anyway... no, I don't hate Muslims and where in the hell have you been anyway? Too busy making those handbag bombs to log onto CD every now and then? lol
The minimum length for an argument is 50 characters. The purpose of this restriction is to cut down on the amount of dumb jokes, so we can keep the quality of debate and discourse as high as possible.
I do not hate Muslims. Every religion has radical members/leaders. The only reason anyone would have said they hated Muslims is because they have been brainwashed with propaganda seen on the news or taught in school. My only problem with the Muslim religion is how they treat their women. But as a whole, I have no problems with anyone of the Islamic religion.
I have done research or I would of not spoken on such a timid subject. You're on a debate forum and you're letting your emotions get in the way of facts. There are many stories if you take the time to look for you'd be shocked by what you see.
I don't like their views towards animals. However, if i saw a man having a heart attack, black or white, Jew or Muslim i would still go to their aid. no i don't hate Muslim people, i just don't like the teachings of the religion.
I like everyone with the exception of Murderes Rapists child killers etc oh and Inland Revenue Inspectors oh and Parking Officials and Womens Libbers and Politicians and Banks and Mass Murderers, and Banks
There is no reason to hate Muslims unless they fall into one of the above categories and most don't There is reason however to dislike most religions (not God btw) because Most religions would fall into the above categories. Relgions are man made organisations full of Petty people who couldnt get a job anywhere else , full of Child molestors and Paedo's not to mention some of the richest organisations that make up the IMF
Remember this God doesnt get a penny or ask for one , It is the Pope and the Bishops who earns a huge salary and gets loads of money
I WOULD NEVER HATE ON A WHOLE GROUP OF PEOPLE. I mean i'd understand hating one person from the group FOR SOMETHING THEY DID, but if ive never met u and ur classified in a group, like Muslim, i wouldnt instantly hate you. that's terrible. evrybody deserves a chance. people who are saying yes are using generalization and stereotypicalism im guessing.
Of course not... I respect all regions, and see no reason to hate muslims. What have they done to me? Besides, God has taught us about loving everyone, even our enemies (not to say that muslims are my enemies).
No I don't hate Musims but I dislike their beliefs, and what they about God that is false. I can give you info about what they said about Jesus in the Quran that was false.
Of course in the Quran they are commanded to kill you if you don't believe in "allah".
That is in the OT and the OT is for the Jewish people and it has the history of God's chose people Israel, and the prophecies of the coming Messiah. It has nothing to do with Christians because it never says in the NT that you should kill anybody.
Yes it says in the Bible Thou shall not kill but I don't kill people.
What Jesus said in the NT about that He meant you should treat others the way you wanted to be treated and you should love your neighbor as yourself.
No a True Christian doesn't follow the OT laws because the OT laws are for the Jewish people and it has the history of God's chosen people Israel and the coming of the Messiah and the prophecies of His second coming.
A True Christian is a person that believes in God and acts the way that Jesus does, I don't swear, do drugs, alcohol and do what all the world does. I do what my God did.
Jesus said in the NT follow all some 600 of the OT's laws. Plus it is still the "word of god" that will "stand forever" and therfore how can you throw it away? The NT says mutliate yourself if you sin and condones slavery and still has the whole "if you dont believe you are going to be tortured for eternity" thing. Yeah real great stuff. Tell me more about how loving your god is
Where does it say in the NT that Jesus said to follow the OT laws? All He said in the NT was two commandments to love God with all your heart and to treat your neighbor as yourself.
Well its not me who wrote the Bible it was God who said that not me. Also God didn't intend on everyone to go to hell, hell would have been for just Satan and his minions but since we rebelled against God and we don't accept Him then we will be send to hell because the person choose not to believe in God.
God doesn't want you to go to hell, He wants you to be in Heaven with all the other people, but its up to your decision that you make.
17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18 For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. 19 Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20 For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.’
Don't hate Muslims, just Islam. But then again I hate all religions. Except for maybe Buddhism or Hinduism. Is humanism considered a religion? I digress....this is no different than with any other situation like this...don't judge a book by its cover, use reason to determine what kind of person someone is.
Thats not really how reincarnation works at all...
People who consider the poor as vermin will be reincarnated into a shitty life because of how they treat them and other people. Poor people who are grateful for life will most likely be reincarnated into a good life in the next life. If they are poor in this life its because of a karmic action they did in a past life.
The reincarnation system has nothing to do with the caste system, the ONLY similarity between them is that if you are of high importance, then you must have been doing good in past lives, but if you start to fall as a person and abuse your wealth and powers, your next life is going to be utter shit.
well ok hypothetically, if its real, thats how it works and you have no clue how reality works, noone does, were all just taking guesses here, and before you bring up science and the facts about the workings of the universe, that doesnt pertain because thats just what we have found out so far, and plus its changing, so we have no clue how the universe works on the grandest scale of things
Treating people like scum on a hypothetical isn't right.
If there was proof it was true, then sure, it makes sense, but I am an atheist for ALL religions because NO religion gives me adequate proof to believe in their supernatural ideas.
See, this is the problem about religion being manipulated, i knew hindu radicals existed, which is just wrong, but theyre not even following their religion anymore, it doesnt matter what religions beliefs are, what matters is that it stops us from the most part from tearing each others heads off IF it doesnt get corrupted, which sadly to say, it is.
I wish science would come out with evidence we are all connected lol, that might stop people from harming each other
Haven't you watched Cosmos yet????? Carl Sagan's entire message is that we are ALL connected, and SCIENCE proves it!
He is a RADICAL. He is saying "DO SOMETHING NEW!" Instead of religion, let's learn about the world as one HUMANITY. Let's use facts, instead of guesses that can hurt people.
That's why I love science. It might not have magic and mythology, but it's TRUE and it's amazing because it proves that all of us are connected in this universe.
IF they told us we are all interconnected together, we would know by now, ive stated MANYYYYYYYYY times on this site that we are interconnected but you say we need proof and evidence, and you ALWAYS beg me to give the evidence, well here you are telling me we have evidence SO WHERE IS IT
now the burden of proof is upon you
Also, if what you say is true then it backs up my beliefs wholeheartedly, shamans have been claiming we are interconnected for thousands of years
YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY ATHEISTS DETEST RELIGION THEN.
WE HAAAAAVE given you this proof. There is lots of it!!!
Why do you not seek it? I told you to watch Cosmos, right? The truth is NOT magical and it's NOT always easy to understand, but it is there. Evolution is more complex than "bam, everything exists". The Big Bang is more complex than "bam, it exists". The explanation of stars is a lot more complex than "bam, everything exists".
The universe is complex, you already know that. But there IS truth, and that truth can be found with science. No, you won't find deep emotions and rituals in science, but there is certainly facts and truth. What you do with that is up to you.
It is a fact we are all connected.
Watch Cosmos and you will understand. All the episodes, and you will see something amazing, if you have the courage to truly think about it and question your beliefs. Cosmos is from the 70's. It's right after the hippies, the moon landing, all that amazing stuff gave us the setup for an age of science and reason and love, but then there was WAR.
The government HATES the citizens to know things. Real things.
Don't think science restricts your beliefs though. Science is only observation. If you believe something, then go ahead. Science won't prove it wrong, only give alternate explanations at worst. If you believe in things not seen, then you go ahead. Science only looks for what CAN be seen.
Seriously, I highly recommend you watch or read Cosmos. It's a book too. It's just a simple introduction to this stuff.
So then why do you disregard the message that so many religions have been trying to tell us for ages? Religion isnt just some madmen lost in their fantasy world, its true that that is what it has devolved into but at its core religion is just a universal experience down to the smallest quark, its an internal experience, and an internal experience is just as much a result of our brain as an external one is.
All i see when i watch the cosmos is a wise man incarnated into who he is because of who he has been but in that era to appeal to a scientific community that has been losing their faith and shutting their mind out from spiritual experiences.
The universe is the most spiritual experience in the world and it IS magical and easy to understand, but its alot harder to understand when you are doing it in a lab, instead of through yourself in the very environment you wish to learn so much more about.
Science is an external observation and religion/spirituality is an internal observation, both products of the same environment, the same "star stuff" both explorable, both meaningful.
I don't disregard the message about some things. However, I would like to live in a world where there is no chance of religious war or oppression, and where people are expected to back up what they say when it sounds like the sort of thing that is very important to life with evidence or proof or a good reason.
That is a short bit that you might find interesting. He talks of facts that we KNOW. We can see. There's no magical vibrations that ancient people used or other conspiracy stuff. This is all real life stuff. It might seem boring because of that, but the very fact that you can use a telescope and look at stars far away and be sure that this is true makes it amazing, in my opinion. Either way though, it is true for sure!
You may find their ways deemed inhumane or uncivilized but it has served them well for centuries.. A social hierarchy is some what unjust but it has helped maintain law and order.. There were little rebellions and wealth are distributed equally. The most privileged were the religious adviser followed by warriors, farmers and slaves. As times past by, the caste system were 'caste' aside (pun intended) at the grounds of human rights which are mutual no matter what lineage they come from. It seems pretty obvious enough these laws were created by religious figures... would this seem new to you? The core believe such as reincarnation remains the same, uncorrupted.
To loath a people, and to loath the ideals to which they subscribe, are two separate matters. Though I very eagerly loath the latter, it is my policy to consider the former on an individual basis.
Why am I a part of the most hated community?
I imagine that the hatred which is presently felt towards Mohametans exited long before you were conceived. Therefore the question above is one you must ask yourself. Why did you join such a loathed community?
Or cuz humanity has lost the value of true judgement?
"Of man's first disobedience and the fruit
Of that forbidden tree whose mortal taste
Brought death into the world and all our woe,
With loss of Eden, till one greater Man
Restore us and regain the blissful seat,
Sing, Heavenly Muse..."
Religion frequently promotes the myth of a Paradise Lost, in which men were ruled by virtue, reason and justice; free from the vices and delinquency into which contemporary man has fallen.
It is nonsense. Men were never ruled by "true judgement", which I take to mean "universal tolerance".
And do you hate me or my mother or my father only
I am seized by no hatred, particular of general, of Mahometans, so long as they attempt no forceful conversion of my people.
because my son is going to be cicumcised as a muslim
I do, however, deny that you have any moral right to circumcise your child without his consent, in the absence of medical necessity.
or cuz my sister wears a naqab over her face?
Well, I disparage any woman who meekly accepts the inequality in which her beliefs have placed her.
So that will end you up with hatred for everyone that disagrees with your ideals. What are your ideals comprised of? Why are they right or wrong? I'm not stressing that they are wrong. I'm simply stating nothing offers the surety.
Why did you join such a loathed community?
Answer- I cannot seize to be a part of one community because another despises it. Which community would rather promise me an unbiased ideal? Or anything like it? Even if it means atheism.
Men were never ruled by "true judgement", which I take to mean "universal tolerance".
Is that an accepted excuse to "loathe" as you say, a community for the mere reason of your understanding of "ideals"? Of your criticism against Milton?
so long as they attempt no forceful conversion of my people.
Well... I suppose I was looking for this in a stretch.
deny that you have any moral right to circumcise your child without his consent, in the absence of medical necessity.
Medical necessity is rarely denied.
I disparage any woman who meekly accepts the inequality in which her beliefs have placed her.
Well, there again is a failure of universal sabotage, semantic in nature. To comprehend inequality or rather judge it by those who accept it. Do you make your choice because your mind says so.. Or human voices. I leave it to each one's perception. And going by laws made today, inequality has proven to be for itself a word showing hypocrisy. And many places; satirical irony.
So that will end you up with hatred for everyone that disagrees with your ideals.
That's a rather sweeping statement. If you consider it to be the nature of man to hate those with whom he disagrees, why on Earth did you ask in the first place?
What are your ideals comprised of?
Well, in a direct comparison with Islamic ideals (as dictated by the Qur'an):
1. No judicial body should have licence to pass a death sentence against a convicted felon.
2. Private citizens of any gender or race should possess the right to freedom of dress.
3. No citizen should possess the right to mutilate the body of another without the latter's consent (e.g circumcision for religious purposes).
4. No citizen should be formally inducted into a religion before the age of 15, or until they produce a written piece declaring the causes which impel them to the induction. Among such causes, the said faith being that of the family, may not be included.
5. Marriage should possess no legal status, beyond setting the order of precedence for inheritance of an estate.
6. In connection with tenet 5, adultery should not be a legal concept in any capacity.
7. A separation of religion and state is the foundation of secular justice.
8. The Islamic God possesses powers which are demonstrably impossible under scientifically observable physical constraints, and therefore cannot exist in the form by which it has been defined.
9. There should be no legal inequality between male and female citizens, beyond special provisions made in consideration of the maternal obligations.
Why are they right or wrong?
The notions of "right" and "wrong" are about as facile as the notions of "good" and "evil". I am simply resolved, where I have the power, to promote and defend the above tenets, and to rigorously oppose their repeal or obstruction, fully believing that my opponents will do the same for their own beliefs.
Answer- I cannot seize to be a part of one community because another despises it. Which community would rather promise me an unbiased ideal? Or anything like it? Even if it means atheism.
You have missed the point. My question was, at what point did you decide to join the Islamic faith, fully sensible of its detractors, but not knowing for what reasons they detracted it?
Is that an accepted excuse to "loathe" as you say, a community for the mere reason of your understanding of "ideals"?
It was not written as an excuse. You asked whether men had lost their tolerance. I stated that they never really possessed it in the perfect form after which you inquire. Ergo, your line of inquiry is moot.
Of your criticism against Milton?
Milton was the greatest poet of his age, and Paradise Lost remains one of the brightest ornaments of English literature. These matters are not affected by the erroneous nature of Milton's beliefs.
Medical necessity is rarely denied.
As I said, in the absence of medical necessity, which, by the mere evolution of a foreskin, is obviously rare, I question your right to circumcise your child.
Well, there again is a failure of universal sabotage, semantic in nature.
I cannot construe the meaning of this sentence. What is "semantic sabotage"?
To comprehend inequality or rather judge it by those who accept it.
That women are capable of acquiring their liberties by resistance to their oppressors, is historically undeniable. And I wish that the women of the Muslim world would throw off the vile and disgusting yoke which has destroyed Islamic culture, retarded societal progress and scourged their civic virtue.
Do you make your choice because your mind says so.
All of my choices are the product of data processed in my brain, which I perceive as my mind. So yes.
And going by laws made today, inequality has proven to be for itself a word showing hypocrisy.
That much is certainly true of "affirmative action" movements, but is no defense of Muslim misogyny.
