So, if I am a progressive liberal, that instantly makes me "racist"? Just because the democratic party had roots in pro-slavery doesn't make progressive liberal's "racist". The democratic party is not a racist party today, the candidates in it talk about racial equality and fair criminal justice while the republicans keep quiet about it. The party of Lincoln was a progressive party. The democratic party was more conservative. 3

You seem to think this "proves" that the democratic party is racist, however, instead of looking at the past, you should look at today. Today, the democratic party is not racist, they talk about criminal justice and African Americans in prison while the republican party keeps quiet. More non-whites are democrats than republicans. So much for a "racist" political party. 3

OK, lets look at today: Today the DNC embraces Jessie Jackson, racist/agitator; Al Sharpton, racist/agitator; Rev. Wright, American hater/ racist; NAACP, racist black group; Urban League, racist black group; Lulac & LaRaza, racist hispanic groups; Black Panthers, uber racist group... all are racist groups and/or individuals and ALL are embraced by the Democratic party. So, who is the party of racists? The Democratic Party, of course. Definition of Racism- a belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race http://www.merriam-webster.com/ The democratic party does not support this ideology. The party focuses on combating discrimination against minority groups rather than putting whites over blacks. I focus more on the beliefs and vision of the party rather than what people who identify as democrats which you consider to be "racist". You are arguing based on your bias against the democratic party, which is not good since this leads to ignorance. Just be a bit more open minded even when speaking about opposing views. 1

Decade after decade Democrats use Black people purely for their votes? They spend every election cycle fanning the flames of concocted racism by constantly regurgitating race bating rhetoric. So after 8 years of the most Liberal Democrat, how did African Americans fair? Well if you call welfare a career, they are doing great. If you call 72% of Black children living in broken homes a good thing, they are doing wonderful. If you call 45% black children under 6 years old living in poverty a good thing, then keep voting Democrat. Black people have twice as much unemloyment and twice as many people on welfare when you do the percentages. With numbers like these, one might ask why they would keep voting for Democrats who have proven for decades to have no answers other than keeping them tied to welfare and thereby controlling their vote. The OBVIOUS reasons for their problems is the number of broken homes with no father influence. Do you hear Democrats speaking to this problem and coming up with any answers? Nah, nothing as usual. If I were African American, I would trying something different and start asking the GOP to come up with solutions if they gave them their vote. 1

The left seeks alternative standards for college entry depending on race. They say that it is to make up for the disadvantaged circumstances present in today’s society. Nonetheless, it still comes down to different treatment for different races. If you want to jump higher, you raise the bar. The left wants to lower the bar for minorities. This is because they don’t want them to jump higher, they just want their votes. It is the left that is obsessed with race. They call their political opponents racist if they fail to see color in a given situation. If a black man leans right, he gets labeled an “Uncle Tom” pretty quickly. They are anti-Semitic too, just see how they treat public figures who support Israel (before anyone claims it’s about atrocities, let’s consider how Islamic terrorism is viewed). You don’t have to look to the past to find the racism of the left. Even so, there are plenty of historical examples. Let’s consider the more recent history of the 1964 Civil Rights Act. Senate Republicans were 82% in favor while the Senate Democrats were only 69% in favor. House Republicans were 80% in favor while House Democrats were only 63% in favor. 1964 is not ancient history. It was the Democrats who fought for welfare programs and housing projects, only to install requirements that break up families in order to receive more benefits.
