Based on paintings that I have seen, Adam and Eve are depicted having belly buttons.

But that is wrong.. You should put up your post with substantial evidence..

Since God is suppose to be omnipotent, he could have just given them the scars. He made a person out of air and another person out of a rib.

He's God, so even though belly buttons are known to be a result of something which happens after birth, he simply created adam and eve with belly buttons as to not confuse the children with belly buttonless parents.

Fred fred burger, yes.

Side: yes

No, as God created them... Your belly button comes from the umbilical cord... Because your belly-button (navel), or tummy-button as it's sometimes called, is a sign that you were once attached to your mother. You depended on that life-line — the umbilical cord — for your nourishment from her body as you developed inside her. Some food that is eaten and digested by the mother... But adam and eve were not born from a sperm fertilising the egg. God made them... Hence, no belly buttons... But once adam and eve have children, their children will have belly buttons.. Understand?

Of course they would have - how else would the children Eve carried gain nourishment? There would need to be a starting point.

The umbilical cord connects to the placenta, not to the mothers belly button. Eve did not need a belly button to have kids.

Hi Foxglove

You need to learn about pregnancy and birth before you make such silly statements

Side: no

Adam and Eve were direct creations of God. They were not ever in a placenta or attached to a mother by umbilical cord, hence there certainly would not have been a reason for them to have them. Whether or not they did anyway, is impossible to know, of course, as no one else was around at the time. I'm going under 'no', they did not for biological reasons. No umbilical, no belly button.

Of course not they never existed unless you believe eve was created from one of Adams ribs that is,

Whether it happened or not, the point was to answer based on the story. Feel free to actually give some insight.

Very well in this fictional work Adam and eve were created not born and therefore would not have navels I can't see how this argument can be disputed really

Side: yes

no and if we ever find the bodies, adam should be missing a rib.

.

but we won't find the bodies.

.

because they are both fiction.
