Did you know the Hyde Amendment PREVENTS the federal government from PAYING for abortion??
It appears that some people don't know about this LAW, so I thought I'd help 'em out.
This year also marks the 30th anniversary of the implementation of the Hyde Amendment, which bans federal funding for abortion in all but the most extreme circumstances. Named after longtime Rep. Henry Hyde (R-IL), who retired in 2006, the measure primarily affects Medicaid, the joint federal-state program that finances the provision of health services to eligible Americans deemed too poor to afford care on their own.

YES, I knew. What is hilarious is that I actually read posts by some leftists who insisted that it violates women's rights, and was tantamount to illegalizing abortion...as if not buying a poor person a car is the same as making it illegal for the person to own a car. Side: Yes, of course

Well said...... the Left is aready forcing people to pay for abortions whether it be the medoicaid provisions of obamacare, or planned parenthood, etc. etc. Women have been having abortions on Medicaid for decades because the Left ignored the hyde Amendment. Side: Yes, of course

Democrats get around the Hyde Amendment by allowing State taxes to pay for medicaid abortions! Democrats have totally ignored the reason for the Hyde Amendment. Democrats are tied to the feminist abortion lobby case you live under a rock. Democrats forced every state to change their marriage laws, but when it comes to not forcing tax payers to pay to kill other's babies, Democrats allow the States to decide. Do you see their priorities? Gay marriage?....Democrats say it's important...FORCE IT ON ALL STATES! Allowing people with humanity to not be forced to pay to kill babies? There are people among the Republicans who are just as inconsistent, (e.g. being both against abortion (because killing people is murder) and for the death penalty (even though killing people is murder). I was getting some respect for you until you compared an innocent Baby's life to a mass murderer's life. Executing people, with no doubt of guilt, will save future lives in prisons from these mass murderers. A murderer with life in prison, with no chance of parole, HAS NOTHING TO LOSE. HE COULD KILL A GUARD OR OTHER INMATES and what are they going to do to him? Execution makes sure the murderer will never kill again. The purpose of execution is to also save future lives!
