Do fairy tales give kids a good idea of right and wrong, or just teach them lies?

I think most people learn when they get about my age (15-18) that fairy tales don't come true. But, when they're a child, you want children to have an imagination. I know I'm a very creative person and I believe it's because I watched Molly and the Big Comfy Couch, and my grandma read me poetry, and my dad gave me a dream catcher. I think fairy tales are as equally important in a person's life as food or water. 1
