Of course. Are you seriously saying " You don't have the right to damn near the only thing that will certainly happen in your life"? Ridiculous. I am sure all these people saying no, if they were put in a crippling position of intense pain, they would ask for euthanasia. Side: Yes

People obviously have a right to die. If they didnt, what would that say about you having full rights to your body? Next thing you know, they'll say it isn't allowed for you to sit for long periods of time cause it's unhealthy. If you wanna be unhealthy then you can. No one controls your body accept you and you have every right to do whatever you want to it. And I say "to it" because if I were to say "with it" then obviously murder isn't something you should do. If you're in unbearable pain and you're going to die anyway, then people should be able to die so they can sacrifice the extra pain they're feeling. you come into this life with so many restrictions that most people aren't aware that people already have control over your body enough, for example- watching tv for hours and hours. I think that people should be fully aware that no one has the right to say, what you can and can't do to your body. if you were with your wife and someone was going to shoot her and you wanted to save her and Jump In front of the bullet, would you say you didn't have a right to die for her right then and there? Or would jumping in front of the bullet not even cross your mind? Also, this is what I think of when it comes to changing the law from it being illegal to kill yourself. But, as this question states, "do I have a right to die" well, the answer to that, is yes. According to the definition "rights" it states .. Rights shows something that is good, proper OR just. So if I were to kill myself right now, who is to tell me if my reason for death isn't good ? That's something only I define for myself. In the governments eyes, then technically, no, I don't have a right to do so. You have to specify which perspective you're looking from. Side: Yes

People obviously have a right to die. That is not true, if we did there would be no punishment or law against trying to kill yourself, yet there is. Rights are not inherently ours. No matter how much we hate it, they are bestowed upon us by our government, hence the reason some people in some countries have more rights than others. Side: No

I don't think you read, or comprehended a single thing I said. I'll explain myself again but in a shorter, simpler way. I'd like to add in though before I proceed, that just because the goverment does something does NOT automatically make it right, hence the reason why so many countries have different rights. We're confused. Actually, most of the things our governments do is the complete opposite of right. like I said before though, in the governments eyes it isn't RIGHT to kill yourself but you cannot define what's right for an individual person. "Right" for the most part cannot be described as a whole, only defined by a specific individual cause people have different ways of thinking, what is right. if you think that a husband shouldn't kill himself for his wife, and that it isn't right, well that's your opinion. maybe you shouldn't be assuming. Maybe he killed himself for his wife because the other guy had threatened not just to kill his wife but also his kids too. in his eyes, killing himself, is better than 3 lives dead. In someone else's eyes, his dying grandmother with unbearable untreatable pain, deserves to be able to kill herself so she can find peace. In another persons eyes, they die because they're at their nadir, and they believe death will give them peace. How can you define the interpretation of "life" for someone else. Not everyone belives in a heaven and hell. ... I had to go back and edit this and say.. I apologize for saying this was gonna be "short" lol Side: Yes

No, I would say they do not have the right to die. The right to life is inalienable - nobody can give it to you, nobody can take it from you. You cannot even surrender it. If I make a public statement that I revoke my right to life - that doesn't mean that any random guy can come and kill me. Suicide devalues the intrinsic value of human life and human dignity. It subjectivizes human worth and makes the value of human life contingent on the moods of the individual. Side: No
