In a society with Constitutionally protected freedom of speech, yes, you have a right to say things even if others don't want to hear it. That doesn't mean you can't be held responsibile. If you commit libel or slander, or treason, or cause a public health disaster by falsely yelling fire in a crowded theatre, then you can be brought to justice for what you have said. Ultimately, however, you have the right first and foremost to say it, regardless. That includes on debate websites. I've been on three debate websites stretching back about a decade and I have always defended the rights of anyone to say anything they want. Sometimes moderators or site owners intervene, but that's just a living example of being held accountable for what you've said. Side: Yep
You have the right to say whatever you want. It does not however mean that there won't or can't be repercussions for it. Standing in a crowd and saying you're going to shoot the President, for example, is going to bring about some pretty severe retaliation. Like wise if you tell a pregnant woman she looks fat, you'll probably get shamed or slapped. Side: Yep
