It's my opinion that whilst it's a wholly unnatural state it is indeed fine between those of deviant sexuality. Homosexuals and lesbians as well as all the other groups of sexual oddballs, ( no pun intended) are nature's freaks. However, they deserve to be treated with dignity, respect and enjoy equality with all other members of the society in which they live and this includes same gender marriage. What amazes me is that the same ones always screaming that their "rights" are being taken away, are the ones who want to take the rights of others away. Can you say "hypocritical"?? It is only religion that is against gay marriage (except for a few who haven't grown up). This nation is NOT supposed to be run on religious doctrine, it is run on a platform of human rights! Don't allow gay marriage within your religion, that's fine. But don't try to push YOUR ideas on those who don't agree with you! Hillary and Barack have listened to the VAST majority of "WE, the people", and decided to grow up with the rest of the country. This country can use all the LOVE it can get, gay or otherwise! B*tch please your the hypocrite what if someone does not like gay your telling people to like gays is forcing your crappy opinion on other people. gays were not meant to be women and men "fit" together for a reason they can make babies together for a reason. So stop pushing people to accept fags. And you cant talk about growing up, stop trying to promote being a fag because its "in" now. Side: No, it is not perfectly fine

In the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Article 16, Subsection 1, it is declared that "Men and women of full age, without any limitation due to race, nationality or religion, have the right to marry and to found a family. They are entitled to equal rights as to marriage, during marriage and at its dissolution." Homosexual marriage is part of the equal rights section, and I believe this should be upheld by all states that signed the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in 1948. Pursuit of happiness means we are allowed to pursue what makes us happy. If a person feels gay, you can force he or she to be straight. Think of you on an opposite scenario. If you are straight and lived in a world where the majority and the social norm was homosexuality would you want to be forced to marry a sex that you have no interest in? It seems that there are two repeated reasons as to why gay marriage is not okay: God said so and that marriage is between opposite sexes. Well, yes, the most common form of marriage is of that between a man and a woman but, just because this is the most common form, doesn't mean that it should be the only RECOGNIZED form of marriage. Marriage is a legal right in which a person, regardless of gender, is able to join with the person they love, again, regardless of gender. Therefore, by saying that 'marriage is only for the opposite sexes' you are denying a humans rights to love who they love and marry who they want to marry. Is it stopping you from being able to live you life? No. Does it affect you in any way? No. And in regards to the God situation, God said a lot of things and it seems to me that the majority of people who use the Bible in their homophobic arguments seem to pick and choose which verses of the Bible they wish to use and which they wish to ignore. Wearing two different types of cloth? Boom. God is pissed. You planted two different crops side by side? Definitely going to Hell. Your wife wasn't a virgin when you married her? Stone that bitch right now. My point is, the Bible was written a long time ago and certain verses are not relevant to life in today's society. I'm not saying that you have to fully support gay rights, but you don't have to constantly preach hate towards people whose lives don't actually interfere with yours. God supposedly created all of mankind so, logically, he created gay people too. Everybody is different and diverse, and God loves all of us equally. I don't know what kind of God you guys have been following but my God loves all, regardless of race, gender and sexuality. What happened to love thy fucking neighbor guys? I wouldn't want to follow a God who encouraged hate. Side: Yes, it is perfectly fine

It's not even possible since Marriage is between the opposite sexes. You can say that "but gay people have been getting married for awhile", but you'd still be misusing the term. No one can believe that something nonexistent is OK, but only believe that they believe that it's OK, because if it's nonexistent then it isn't anything. Side: No, it is not perfectly fine

Except it isn't. You are conflating different contexts for the word. There's marriage as the historical institution, which has had multiple forms (the primary Western form being one man and one woman). But there's also the relevant term, which is the modern legal contract in this country, which is, by definition, simply between two consenting adults (at this point nationally). So it does exist, and it is okay. Side: Yes, it is perfectly fine
But... It's not nonexistent if it's happening everyday. It's not a misuse of the term either. It is purely a fact. Two men or two women can and do marry. I feel that you have worded your point incorrectly. Am I missing something? Can you elaborate? Side: Yes, it is perfectly fine
