You will find that most Socialist nations and Liberal Socialists support even No Restriction abortions. Their reason for this... MONEY!
In Socialized nations, their economies are usually dead and therefore in short supply of tax payers. They can not afford to give everyone healthcare, so their remedy is legalized extermination. It costs so much to support a person in Socialized nations, they have found it much cheaper if the baby is killed.
Socialist nations also really hate Special Need's babies. They go out of their way to test for and kill even viable babies that do not have perfect blonde haired blue eyed traits.

Abortion also cuts down on the huge waiting list of people waiting for surgery. Canadians come to America if they need quick medical attention. I guess sacrificing one life, that can not defend himself, for another is the Left's compassionate tolerance for diversity, UNLESS of course your diversity is an extra Chromosome. IF SO....
