Do you personally believe that people get jobs based on looks not experience?

I personally believe that if you have to people that are as equally as qualified for the job and one is a slob while the other is dressed well and has good hygene than the person that looks well is going to get the job. But i still wonder if you have a beauty queen that is not experienced and a normal well dressed quailfied woman which one will most likely get the job?

Once, I discovered that the person who was going to interview me was a woman. So I took a pair of socks, rolled them up and stuffed them in my pants before the interview. I did not get the job even though I had plenty of experience and was highly qualified. I later found out that I should have put the rolled up socks in the front of my pants, not the back. ;)

Experience and skills definitely matters but your looks signifies your persona and interviewer judge you from the way you keep yourself, your attire and how to present yourself.
