Well said, ex. Most of my family are liberals also, most consider themselves Christian. Most black liberals are more devout than most white conservatives. The same can be said about most Hispanic liberals.

It's known that, out of 310M Americans, 159M "call themselves" Christian. Of those only 36% of them attend church regularly and 9% of them say religion is an "important factor" in their lives. Considering that a large number of those are black and Hispanic (and liberal) … it doesn't say much for the "religious right".

Of course, a large number of that 159M are what I call CYA Christians. Most of them go to church on Christmas and Easter, maybe a time or two in between. Compare that to Muslims that pray 5 times a day. Now, THAT is a serious religion. I don't like their religion any more than I like the Christian one or the Jewish one. They ALL have their good parts, but, they all have their radical parts that screw the whole idea up! We have a radical coming to RI in a few days, Franklin Graham. I hope nobody shows up for that un-American phony! If Gandhi knew him I know he would include him in his statement: "I like your Christ, it's you Christians I don't like.
