Do you think life has a purpose? if yes, explain...

It's quite a common question these days, with so many people trying to answer it.... somehow, I was never satisfied.. and neither I could answer this question... I'd like to know your views..

What sort of a purpose, though?

You can, obviously, not be satisfied by an answer if you have no idea what you want in it.

To me, we are just living life the way it is, and all that I do comes down to what I like and what I want for myself.. Is life something that is supposed to result in some way that can be generalized for all is my question..

In other words, why is life? for what?

As I said, that question is too unclear to be answered. As it stands, anyway, though since it's still a common question, I have quite some background information to expect the meaning (unless it really is about something else which, though possible, is rather unlikely).

Though I've considered it much further than my initial solution (thanks to some philosophers whose answer seemed to coincide with mine)...

Your role is that of an agent under selection. Though it varies for individual actions, for your entire life, it'd be natural selection.

You are asking a question that ends up being a question of faith. Believing in God and an eternal life, or believing you are just one more evolved animal that will live and die with no purpose to his existence.

People in the Christian faith have the hope, faith and belief that there is life in Heaven beyond this tme on Earth. It gives meaning to our lives and teaches us to love one another with the hope that people would find their way to Heaven through faith in Christ.

If these few years on Earth is all there was, then we can see why many people live with depression and hopelessness.

Side: yes

Maybe, maybe not, but your death will serve a purpose. Either an eternal purpose or to become the space dust that forms a new space "thingy".

I don't think life has a purpose. I think we're just all here. You are what you are. There's nothing 100% proven to say otherwise. But I DO think it may be up to the human to 'create' a purpose for their life if they really wanted to.
