Teachers should get paid more because they create the basis of education in billions of people's life's. With pout teachers, how would we gain knowledge? I don't understand why a celebrity like Kim K gets paid millions to just look pretty but a teacher only gets paid about $35,000. It's crazy how they think celebrities benefit society more. Side: Yes

The fact is, the US does not have top-quality teachers because teaching (due to low paychecks) is an undesirable profession. If we raise the paychecks and eliminate tenure, teaching will once again become a suitable profession and will therefore attract talented individuals to become teachers and thus make the country better educated Look back at Ancient Greece; teachers and tutors were payed almost as much as religious leaders and were very respectable and therefore required higher education to beat out the competition. Because of this competetiveness, society became more educated altogether. Side: Yes
Teachers are grossly underpaid for the work they do. First they have to have a college degree and pay for that debt just like a doctor or a lawyer... Next they have to constantly take courses and tests to keep up with what's going on. They have to plan lessons, grade papers, babysit rotten kids who don't appreciate the education they are getting and are completely disrespectful, and teachers have to deal with parents who don't have a clue but expect their children to pass even when they don't deserve it. Yes teachers should get paid more. Student loans are killing the college students of America and more so the teachers that are expected to give these students something to base their life off of because of their low pay. Pay teachers more and we will have more teachers and this will increase education quality which will lead to a smarter America. Side: Yes
Teachers should, without a doubt in my mind, get paid a lot more for their involvement in educating students across the world. If their weekly wages were to increase, it would " attract the best and the brightest," and "to retain the best and the brightest." There's too many benefits to raising their pay then to not do it at all. Side: Yes

Don't put the educators who have educated you, in a bad light. Your appreciation for them, is lacking with every ridiculous assumptions along the way.
