Do you want the option to make your own position on a debate back?
I know some of you will have no idea what I'm talking about, because there are so many new users.
This was an option, for example, instead of choosing yes or no, you could make a position that says maybe.
I didn't use it that often because most of the time it's not necessary, but lately I'll go to reply to a debate and think "well.... I don't agree with anything this person has put"
So I'll be likely to ignore the debate completely.
Andy won't bring it back unless there's a decent amount of people who want it back, and I'm not going to push it if no else does.

Hmm... I'm neutral on this. It'd be nice to add your own positions in a debate, but you can simply use the perspective debate format when there aren't simply two opposing sides. I'm leaning a bit to "yes," though, because they only reason this was removed (supposedly) is because it conflicted with the clarification option. Side: Yes
Yep, that's what I've heard. And some people don't realize that there's more than two sides to some debates until someone else points it out to them. Another reason I would like it back is because the perspective debates all say "unresolved". If we got the option back then the "winning" position would be stated instead. Side: Yes
Well, there are some debates that only have to two sides. An example would be: Do you support the legalization of marijuana. The only possible way I can see avoiding those pre-set sides is using a "maybe, it depends" option, which you can just argue the side you're leaning toward: yes or no. Side: Yes

I loved it when we could do this. This option provided for things such as extra opinions and a higher choice for a freedom in speech. I liked to be able to put my personal 'tag' on the debate because I liked having the choice to leave my own mark on a debate someone else had created. - Sometimes the options 'yes' or 'no' do not lead to a satisfying answer that is truly what people think; I don't always think something entirely as 'yes', because I may have varying opinions on such a topic. - It is also especially useful for 'perspective' debates, because others the answer, no matter how many people commented with the same opinion, will say 'unresolved'. This is a most unsatisfying answer to debates. - I can now never look at the debate statistics because of how few debates are tagged. The reason for this? You cannot 'tag' your debates because it is impossible. Side: Yes
