Yes, it keeps the currency in line with the global economy and insures that we don't become less competitive because our currency is overvalued.

The dollar has lost 92% of its buying power since we started using central banking, it also did a terrible job handling the money during the depression and now, America's currency (not any other countries) should be controlled by a privately owned bank the operates in secrecy.

And if the dollar hadn't lost any value, it would currently cost the Europeans 2.7 million Euros to buy a $30,000 U.S. car. American exports would be virtually non-existent because no one would be able to afford anything that we make. We think we have unemployment problems now: imagine a society that exports nothing! We'd no longer be the largest economy in the world. You can't just look at the dollar. You have to look at it in terms of the world market. This is why it needs to be regulated by people that know that they're doing!
