If you don't worship him and do his bidding he will torture you for eternity. Sounds like slavery to me.

Jesus does not torture people, He gives us the chance to get saved, and Satan does the torturing.

Where in the Bible does it say Satan does the torturing? Satan is going to be on the receiving end of the torture, according to Revelation 20:10, which says, "The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever."

Jesus is the one who sends people to hell, where they will face "everlasting punishment" in "eternal fire" Matthew 25:40-46

Satan didn't create hell or the fire within, God did.

I have a serious question for you, and I really want you to answer it. Do you believe that torturing people by burning them for eternity is something a benevolent god would do, or does that sound more like something corrupt men would say God does in order to scare them into submission?

Why would Jesus want slaves?

As a punishment, a reward, something we spiritually do to ourselves, & in another verse God doesn't command slavery, but does give rules on how to treat your slaves that you chose to have. In one context it is the "spirit of slavery". In another it is the doom or justice brought upon those who persecuted his children. It depends on which verse you are referring to, for there are multiple verses talking about slavery.

Also, if you give someone freedom & all they do is evil with it, you have only a handful of options for them. Slavery, prison, or death.

No longer do I call you slaves, but now I call you friends. -Jesus

Want them, no no. But he is such a nice guy that if someone gifted him some slaves he'd probably be like "Oh wow, gee, you shouldn't have. Gosh, you went to all this trouble. I hope they didn't cost you an arm and a leg." And then he'd either let them go after the gifter left, or maybe even he'd re-gift them and say to the next person "See, see what I've done for you. Your God has provided you slaves to help his chosen people. Praise be to God! - Um, no, there is no gift receipt to return them, sorry."
