Does arguing really solve any problems?

Yes

VS.

No

Side Score: 3

It's this or fighting. Fighting solves problems if someone excepts defeat or dies. (Not so good in a time where everyone's trying to cherish life.)

Leaving the alternative, arguing. Arguing allows for compromise and sharing of ideas. If done properly both sides win a little bit.

It's always nice to see both sides win a bit.

If the arguments are good enough and the arguers are open-minded enough, it's amazing what can be solved via the sharing of ideas (even through argument.)

Arguing doesn't solve anything. Having a proper debate could potentially solve a problem. I.e. who won the debate.

Arguing is just a back and forth.

A debate is a judged series of arguments that has a determined winner. If you consider 'solve a problem' to mean change someone's 'point of view'; good luck.

No sometimes it doesn't because the more you argue with someone you're just adding a bigger and bigger flame that is going to erupt because of something they disagree on.
