Does individuality really exist?
Are we the person we choose to be?
Or
Are we the person who is made by ideals and "personality" of others?
Consider how laws, society, other people, cultures and religion make us who we are.
Also consider the psychology of how things affect us and indoctrination.
I appreciate every response to this and hope this question is to your taste.
:)

People are different from the day they are born. Physically, we are constructed differently, therefore we perceive the world differently because we are equipped with different faculties. Since we perceive the world differently, we interact with it differently. We are unique and separate entities, even if we do have similarities. Although conformity does exist as well, it is the choice of an individual to conform to the will of the many. Though there are laws, individuals decide to follow them or break them. Though there is indoctrination, an individual decides not to challenge what they are taught. People choose to live differently every day. If individuality did not exist, we wouldn't even be able to debate this. Side: Yes, it does.

We are all technically unique. As in our DNA is different from every other living person at this exact moment. However, it should be noted that their is nothing new. Everything has been done.... twice. This actually reminds me of a song. Sadly I couldn't find the song after half an hour of searching, but the lyrics are basically describing how no matter what you do, you aren't the first, you won't be the last, and to wrap up with the chorus, "there aint nothing new under the sun" Side: No, it does not.
