Does it do Congress any good to call the FBI as a witness on anything?

I have watched the FBI testify before Congress so many times, over and over, and their response is overwhelmingly "It's classified" or "I can't speak on that issue", or "I can't provide you that information". So why even call them to a hearing? What's the point?
