Does pineapple belong on pizza?

The President of Iceland recently said he would ban pineapple on pizza if it were possible.  Do you share his intolerance of pineapple on pizza, and if so should it actually be banned.  Vote yes to put it on pizza, no to leave it off.  http://www.cnn.com/2017/02/21/europe/iceland-president-pineapple-pizza-ban-trnd/

I don't always want pineapple on but sometimes I do.

To me the audacity to try to ban it is similar to those furious that someone would put ketchup on a hotdog. Hey, they're the ones eating it, not you.

And specific to pineapple. It's sweet, and a fruit. The same could be said for fig and date and those sometimes go onto flatbreads with goat cheese. And it's not far off from BBQ sauce and that goes on some pizzas.

And how can you slam pineapple and at the same time think it's normal for cold lettuce to pile on top? Or pickle relish for a cheeseburger pizza? Or even the old classic sardines, which is probably less enjoyed worldwide then pineapple is though it's considered a truly classic topping?

Yes. Absolutely yes. 100% yes. And if anyone disagrees they are wrong and should feel bad....and give me their pineapple.

Absolutely. Not on every topping perhaps, but it works well on pizza most of the time.

That was the most entertaining disagreement I've received on this site, so thank you for that.
