Does the DC universe have a new chance?
It's been announced that Joss Whedon, the master behind Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Firefly and a plethora of other movies and TV shows may be signed on to write, produce and direct the DC super-heroine movie, Batgirl. So far the DC universe has fallen behind its Marvel counterpart in the movie industry with such phenomenal flops as Batman Vs. Superman and Suicide Squad and fairly-liked-but-still-not-quite-there Superman Returns. (Personally even though the editing was atrocious in SS, I did enjoy it though apparently that isn't the popular opinion). Do you think Whedon, if he does this, will be able to do what other directors haven't quite done yet? Resurrect the DC comic movies?
Just a fun debate, it feels like CD has gotten very dark lately.
They might pull through!
