Don't blindly believe Conservative or Liberal views, look around & see who's been spot on.

Never blindly accept that people in positions of authority, or celebrities, etc. are telling you the turth. We have a society today made up of many people with political agendas. Many of them are pure ideologs pushing their beliefs onto the masses. We are trusting people who can not comprehend how people in authority could delibertely lie to us to get their agendas passed(much like Obamacare).
You must always listen to both sides, but even more important, look at life and the evidence before your very eyes to come to an enlightened understanding of which side cares more for all American's and our nation's well being.

When you listen to those on the Left telling you every election cycle, decade after decade, how the GOP only cares for the rich, and hates the poor, you must look at the results when one party controls the whitehouse or congress.
We have now had seven LONG years of an extreme Liberal President. In the first two years of his term he also had complete control of Congress. So this is where you MUST use your brain and break free from that conditioned propaganda playing non stop in your head. What did the Democrats do in those two years when they had the power to change this income disparity they have championed for decades? NOTHING and not only did they do nothing, IT GOT MUCH WORSE!
Our welfare roles have swollen and we have many more people living in poverty. Did Democrat's overhaul our income tax system to get rid of loop holes for the Rich? NO! It is actually the GOP trying to overhaul the tax code to stop the loop holes while Democrats refuse to help.

For decades you have listened to Democrats play the race game, calling the GOP racists, etc. etc.
Now once agan, try to break free from that conditioned propaganda playing non stop in your head and look at the facts. How is the Black community doing today. As always, the Black community has even larger % of people on welfare and a much higher unemployment rate. Tell me what Democrats did those first two years to help Black people get off welfare and find jobs? What have Democrats done to deserve 95% of the black vote each election decade after decade?

How's the condition of our families? WORSE! How's the condition of our debt? MUCH WORSE! How's our children's grades doing? WORSE! Have the jobs come back to America? NO!

Don't just listen to the rhetoric each election cycle. LOOK AT THE RESULTS AFTER SEVEN LONG YEARS OF DEMOCRAT CONTROL. Ask yourself which party was correct about Obamacare? Which side was correct about the harm from a weak foreign policy? Whcih side was wrong about how to create jobs. Which President told us all how he was going to reach across the aisle and compromise to get Government working again. Which president said he would address the huge national debt?
This government is the most partisan uncompromising Government in most of our history. Liberal's are radicals who are CONSUMED with their Socialistic Big Government ideology. IT HAS NOT WORKED and is so obvious to any truly thinkng person who cares more for America than their ideology.
Republicans are far from perfect, but at least their policies, if just once carried out, are much better for Amerca's future. Please spare me the George Bush rhetoric. He is not what the GOP has always stood for and was far from a Conservative, even though he was far better than Obama.

Look with your eyes to see how America's doing. Ask yourself which side has better answers for our future. Do you want a future consumed with fear fromTerrorism each time you fly or go to an event?

Yep. This is why I am an Independent.

I have voted both liberal and conservative in the past, on different issues. Depending on the stance I truly believe is best for all involved. I have hardly ever gone into the booth and voted a "straight ticket."

Well, I did once, but that was sort of a protest vote, several years ago, against the W Bush Tyranny.

The big problem with Congress now is that they refuse to do exactly what was mentioned in the title of this Debate. That is, instead of looking around and seeing which piece of legislation, or idea, or referendum or Bill--whatever--is really going to help their constituency, the very people who sent them to D.C. in the first place, they

play this big huge Ego Game.

Where their primary goal is to "win the game." To make sure that THEIR Party's agenda is propelled, and NOT the other party's. So, even if, say I am a GOP Senator from Arizona and a bill comes up for vote from a Dem, and in my heart I think that bill is really a pretty good idea, and my folks would probably benefit from it, I am compelled by my peers to vote it down. Just to win! Or, to make the guys on the other side of the aisle lose.

This is the major flaw in our current system of Government. Period. THIS, and the absurd influence of K Street on our Congress. We need to remove lobbyist influence--at least rein it in a bit and place financial caps, and also subject our elected congress to annual ratings from their constituency.

That is: Bad rating--say, below 55%--and you're outta there. Screw this automatic 6-year term for Senators and 2-year for Congress. Put 'em all up to the chance of dismissal, annually, by their own voters, if they fail to work to improve the lives and well-being of their constituency.

It's not likely, but, it might be nice to remember that when Obama had control of Congress, we had the most devastating pile of problems that HAD to be remedied of ANY President since FDR! You have to prioritize! Those "priorities" were not corrected by the time he lost the Congress to a bunch of right wing radicals who have since "tried" to control the world! "Tried" to ruin the credit of the United States, "tried" to "put women in their place", "tried to keep healthcare in the hands of the Insurance Moguls" who had given us the 37th rated health care in the world, at the highest PRICE in the world! And are still trying to make it as easy as they can for radicals to take guns to church, to school, to night clubs, etc. Yep, they've been "spot-on"! Spot-on stupid!
