Egoistical People

Whats your opinions about egoistical  people, the most egoistical people becomes the most successful person on his/her community, if anyone can explain this social phenomena. I saw this immature vlog channel and, and I have managed to stumble upon this video, and I did a survey on girls, most of them would prefer "Bad Boys" over "Nice Guys"

Egotistical people do two things. 1. They turn people off/away from them and 2. Once they have turned the people away they believe they are better than everyone else and then take over the void left by the people who don't want to deal with them. that is why egotistical people appear to have greater success.

What do you mean by "take over the void"?

To take over the person's position who was disguisted by that egoistical person.

Egotistical people drive others away. As they drive others away, it creates a void which the egotistical person fills with themselves and it gives them the appearance of being successful which others mistake for success and eventually becomes reality.

I can concede with your explanation, however,i need a better explanation, maybe its because the person or group who owns that specific establishment needs a person that has "guts" and "pride" as to say evil wins over good (that if evil and good exists)?

Yes, this is true. If there is nobody strong willed enough to prevent the void from being created, then the egotistical person will succeed. If there is a strong willed person, then they could keep the power balanced or even move the power to themselves.

Everyone has an ego and everyone hates having their ego trampled on.

The only difference between people is what they consider trampling as opposed to acceptable levels of sacrificing their self interest.

Bravo mate!! That's the answer that I'm looking for, all of us are humans, hardwired emotionally in a unique way, we have different personalities and point of views.

I think, coming to an accurate conclusion about whether someone is egotiscal, is much more complicated than most would think.

We can say whether a person is egoistical, just by deriving both words confidence and selfishness.

Egotists tend to be more assertive than the average person leading them to becoming dominate in their workplace and ''acquiring'' seniority without necessarily having the ability to properly maximize the potential of their position. Most people will back away from confronting such egomaniacs so they rise to power by default, a bit like Hitler.

I am an Egotist/Egoist, and I find that maximizing personal well-being is the most obvious way in which to live. You are obligated to maximize personal livelihood and to do otherwise places you on a spectrum of mental debilitation.

And assuming that Psychological Egoism is true (which it is) you have no choice but to maximize personal well-being as you are only motivated through self-interest (again, except for the special cases).

I'm trying to be an egotist, but when I'm applying the laws of egoism. People suddenly build up their views on me, since I'm living in a conservatist place it wont work.
