There are plenty of studies done in this area (just google it) and females normally come out on top as an over all average. It is thought that because females mature faster they take a more responsible approach to learning in earlier grades, this is not an absolute rule but is true in the majority of cases. As for males however when they mature they generally catch up in third level education. Side: Female
A female child is better than a male child, in term of soft and tender mind, female are on the soft side than male. Talking about home assistance to parents, they are on the parents side. male are often known to be lazy in assisting parents in house work. So female are also better in this regard. Side: Female
Female child are far better than male because in terms of education, if you educate a male you educate just one person but when you educate a female child you educate the whole world , because they will impact that knowledge to their children , neighbors etc while male don't have the time to do that. We live in paternal societies, females should not only have a workplace, but also be able to do work around the house, like cleaning, hoovering, washing, sewing, gardening and obviously cooking. So the daughter learns throughout time that it is expected of her to help around, because it is the only way to become a successful woman while the male children are taught from an early age that they only need to work hard and bring money home. It’s just that men tend to help around the house with more mechanics, dangerous things, while female focus in the cleaning and cooking. You can clean from an early age, but it takes a certain age and physical development to change a light bulb. Female children are by far way more organized than male children. For instance; Some males come home remove their shoes and socks and leave it for the women to clear it. Males also wake up in the morning, stay in pajama’s all day and eat whatever they want, and work from home. While females get up early in the morning, have their bath, cook for the men, and go to work. For some reason men are considered the head of the family, or the breadwinner even though they don’t do as much as the women. Side: Female

We are all equally unique. There is no better nor worse. There is just differences in abilities of man and a woman. However, in general we need each other. Why is male child is so important especially in Asian countries? Most people want at least one boy in the family so that the last name can be passed down- that seems like a selfish superfluous thing to want BUT when you finally reach that point of age in your life when leaving a piece of yourself behind suddenly becomes important it is a much easier concept to grasp Side: Male

Males don't cry as much as girls and they're tougher. Girls are more sensative and will cry A LOT! Guys are better and since they aren't as emotional, it'll be easier to take care of them. Other than crying, there aren't a lot of things to worry about since each child is different and so are the parents tolerance. Two other things to take into consideration are bloodline and last name. Later, a mans sperm will make another kid and will therefor continue the bloodline. Also, a male will carry on the family name. Side: Male
I wonder if that is over generalization on your part to say that males do not cry as much as girls and that they are a lot tougher. If you are saying that girls are emotional and hence a lot harder to be taken care of, how about boys being too insensitive to their parents' needs and showing less concern to the parents? You may like to consider this. In fact, the very factor of being emotional may actually mean girls are able to think for their parents and understand the hardships that parents take in order to take care of them. Then again, I do not mean that boys are unable to understand their parents, as opposed to what you did there for females, I am just suggesting that it can also be easier to take care of girls considering the very fact that they could 'feel' for others. Secondly, the idea about the male sperm making another kid is foolishly ignoring the fact that you need another egg to produce a baby. All the stuff about bloodline is what has led to polygamy in the past. Also, I am unable to understand what is so important about carrying on the family name. Instead of thinking that it is better to have a female or male child, I think it is more important to consider having a child who is sensible. Even today there is still an attitude that encourages the male over the female...in just about ALL areas of society. Child-rearing is considered the lowest job, yet it is actually the hardest. Plus, I'd like to see a guy push a canteloupe out his butt and not cry! Biologically, the male has a much higher amount of testosterone, which is the hormone that controls agression. ya ....men always being the breadwinner of the family is not exactly true. In some cases, the women have better pay than the men do.....even if the man is the breadwinner what does he do with the money he gives it to his wife to buy groceries. please, tell me the last time you saw a man buying something for the family without his wife's consent or his wife telling him which product was good or bad...even in buying clothes the man would not bother himself with finding out his child's size he just asks his wife.
