Is it odd I am posting in this side? No. To me, Castro did more to help stabalise the country and pull it away from the Americans, he was more of a diplomat, if you can stomach that..! Che was more about the Cuban Revolution it's self, the whole fighting aspect. And though I prefer Che as a leader and revolutionist (somewhat obvious), I think Castro did more to help Cuba. I prefer Che Guevara. In terms of personal affection ( that is far too strong, but it is the only useful phrase I can think of in my sleep deprived state) I like him far more than Castro. Che got things done, quickly, no questions asked. Plus something to do with "the revolution apple does not simply fall from the tree, one must pull it for it to come down" and other nice quotes of his. I can't really remember that one..! Side: Che
Yeah, from what I understand, regardless of your feelings about socialism/communism, Che was more pure on his beliefs. After the take over when Fidel and other higher ups were taking large salaries and drive fancy "state owned" cars, Che still drove his old beater car and only took his proper military salary. Neither! However, I would not be surprised if the majority picked Che, the reason being (and they will not realize this) is because Che was killed (basically by Fidel) before ever reaching a position of power. Everyone looks good when they die young. Guaranty you if he had lived as long as Castro he would be just as fucked up as any other altruistic scumbag dictator. Side: Che
