Note how no spaces are placed before or after the long dash (--) in either post. This is extremely rare in English. A sentence with a long dash will usually look like -- this.

It is similar writing now that you mention it but I still don't think they are the same person. I don't think Amarel is capable of acting that well or talking about the things Mathfan does. Mathfan, in my view, is not a bad guy and not an idiot at all but Amarel is literal retarded scum.

FM, I love you but they blatantly are. You don't want to admit that he has conned you, and this is understandable.

It isn't simply a matter of their writing being similar. They have identical (and highly uncommon) punctuation and grammar habits which are a dead giveaway.

I don't think Amarel is capable of acting that well or talking about the things Mathfan does.

MathFan snipes at me and tries to outwit my logic with the exact same distortions, half-truths and omissions that Amarel does. He is a lying, pseudo-intellectual nincompoop whose opinions are not consistent with themselves. Both of them always address me with the same narcissistic air of superiority and/or attempted mockery.

They are 100 percent the same person.

Just look at when they both logged on, ffs.

Mathfan had been absent for 2 days, Amarel for 17 hours.

Then, two hours ago, they both logged on within half an hour of each other and wrote posts.

MathFan attacked me and Amarel did the exact opposite. He was extremely polite and menial.

When was the last time you saw Amarel be polite to me?

Cheers bro. The problem is he is never going to confess because the guy is an utter liar. He knows we can never obtain unequivocal proof so he'll continue the charade.

There is also other stuff I haven't mentioned in the OP because of the character limit. For example, both accounts have a habit of capitalising random words, for no apparent reason.

You are welcome to your opinion either way bro. I'll never begrudge you that. But in my opinion, your doubt arises from the fact that the MathFan account acts differently towards you than the Amarel account. This is not true in my own case, and it is what put me onto him in the first place. Both accounts generally address me with the same identically smarmy, arrogant, condescending demeanour which is characteristic of your own experiences with Amarel.

It's like I said earlier: MathFan's opinions are not consistent with themselves. In fact it was fairly shocking to me when you copy/pasted his indulgent essay about some of the problems with the free market, because he and I have had many arguments in the past where he has taken a pro-free market standpoint. In fact, I specifically remember one occasion when he arrived in a debate created by an account called "Fascist", and began agreeing with most of the stuff he had written.

It's the same douchebag, bro. He just has mental health problems and gets off on manipulating people.

Like I said it is a strange coincidence, but I don't think it's enough to conclusively say they're the same guy.

in my opinion, your doubt arises from the fact that the MathFan account acts differently towards you than the Amarel account.

Mathfan seems more open minded and willing to consider different points of view, whereas Amarel just repeats whatever fallacies he's decided to go with and dismisses anything else. Mathfan and I have always gotten along, and you and him used to get along until you found some points of disagreement, at that point you started attacking him and he started attacking you and then he was unable to accept anything you say due to his own ego. The same exact thing happened to me at first when you called me an idiot and a retard etc. It was very hard for me to accept what you were saying because my instincts told me to defend myself and prove myself to be better. But just as I was able to get over myself and look at it more objectively I think he could do the same if he is presented with enough facts in a non-hostile way.

Mathfan is compromising and tends to consider both sides. He was agreeing with me about the free market at that time but recently he has been leaning more to the right unfortunately. Mathfan in my view is someone who is intelligent and not a bad guy but he is being sucked into a right leaning wormhole of misinformation and we are the only ones who can save him.

I looked up the account and I think Andy deleted his debates. Do you remember what kind of things MF was agreeing with?

You are absolutely correct that in isolation it wouldn't be enough to conclude they are the same person. But that is the fourth such highly uncommon grammatical anomaly I have thus far identified in the writing of both accounts. In combination, not only do these multiple factors imply both accounts belong to the same person, but they also suggest that possibly this person has not learned English as a first language.

FM, that is not true, buddy. We didn't have a disagreement. I literally corrected him because he was confusing biological DNA with the genetic code. It was at this point that he dropped his pretence of civility and devolved into precisely the same ruthless misrepresentation tactics which define Amarel's schtick. I remember writing a post about panspermia, and for the next three months he trolled me with accusations that I believe in ancient aliens.

I would never have wasted time investigating their grammar habits in the first place were my suspicions not already aroused by the fact that their personalities are extremely similar.

In the second example, note also that no space is placed between the full stop (i.e. period) and the new sentence in either post. Again, this is extremely rare in English. Pretty much everybody types a space after a full stop.
