If my son came up to me and said he was Gay, I would be broken hearted...
It would mean he has physiological disorders of some sort.
It would mean he has a much greater chance of suicide (not because people don't see homosexuality as normal).
It would mean he will probably be having sex with many different men who could possibly have Aids.
It would mean the chances of having a life long committed Partner is very very slim.
It would mean he will never know the joy of a real family with his own children.
It would mean I will never have grand kids.
I would explain very clearly to him all the dangers that come with his choice to follow this path. No one is forcing him to engage in Gay sex no matter his fetish or desires for other men. He could still choose a normal life with a loving wife and children. It has been done many times before. It's a lie to say that all Gays would be happier going after men rather than being married to a women. Maybe there would not be a huge sexual attraction towards his wife, but fantastic sex is not all there is a to marriage and life.
Is fantastic sex more important than a committed loving family for life? The love of our children, and for our children, can never be replaced by good sex.
If Gays are so fulfilled by coming out of the closet and following their dreams, why are they still one of the highest groups committing suicide?
