I don't see socialism as dangerous. I DO see an authoritarian, secular government as VERY dangerous. What could be MORE dangerous to a republic with the Constitution WE HAVE! It is against authoritarianism, it is against ANY ONE RELIGION! Nowhere does it say it is against socialism … against some of the ways socialism was USED, by authoritarian governments, to be sure! The authoritarian governments that took private ownership away and used it to pad their pockets was unacceptable in a democracy, unacceptable to our Constitution! In like manner, the "taking control of the U.S. government" by dangerous capitalists in the 1800's was also dangerous. We can be thankful for a Republican, Teddy Roosevelt, for stopping that! We, with our Constitution … and non-authoritarian government, … can stop the bad parts of socialism, and use the good parts, just like Teddy did with capitalism! It's not socialism that's dangerous, it's an authoritarian government … like the one Trump wants … that makes ANY form of economic system "dangerous", for the people! Where are the Republicans when we need them, NOW! Gone hunting in the Balkans, I guess. "Shoot, comrade, shoot"! :-) Side: Hayek
Nowhere does it say it is against socialism … It does. The Constitution lays out all the things our federal government can do. For example, the government can pay for a socialized postal services, and socialized roads. But the 10th Amendment says that if the Constitution doesn’t give the Federal government a particular power (such as welfare), and doesn’t bar states from said power, then that power is left to the States or to the people (privately). Where are the Republicans when we need them, NOW! Gone hunting in the Balkans, I guess. Sitting here watching the economy going off like it's the 4th of July while Democrats try and sabatoge their own economy for votes. Party before America, eh Al? Oh, and it's nice to not be in a bunch of mindless military episodes while the world is set on fire for a change. Side: Dangerous

I don't see socialism as dangerous Oh? Tell me what U.S.S.R. stands for. Hey look. I did it for you. The Soviet Union,[b] officially the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics[c] (USSR),[d] was a socialist state in Eurasia that existed from 1922 to 1991.[10] Nominally a union of multiple national Soviet republics,[e] its government and economy were highly centralized. The country was a one-party state, governed by the Communist Party with Moscow as its capital in its largest republic, the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic (Russian SFSR).
