If one wishes to believe G-d as an ET, all one has to do is go and watch Futurama where Bender the robot is shot into a nebula that has all the characteristics given to G-d. Should the creators of Futurama be correct, then G-d is most certainly an ET.

ive read some articles about the belief of god started from ancients civilizations, that ancient people saw UFO came to earth and dominate them, thought them that they are God,and people feared them so they believed. There are other articles that explains how human exist on earth...and its is by genetic engineering by aliens that landed here,to save ther species and made slaves for them...

those articles are againts on what religion had taught to people,...

religions said god is spirit on his state of being...

God is a figment of the imagination created to fill the blanks in our lives. Siple as that.

This debate would probably have been better as a multi-sided debate, rather than alien/spirit, as you are leaving out all those people who feel that he is niether.

This shouldn't be two sided, there are many many many more ideas out there.

I think the most important aspect to god being an ET is that if he is, would we so blindly bow to his every wish? If so, and another alien race stopped by to say "Hey, we are your creators, we are god" so many people would do as they command... essentially making humanity their bitch even if they aren't really god..

is there really a spirit?...

country presidents act like they are God,sadam acted like God...hitler too...

it could be like,- million years ago an alien landed here on earth, taught people how this and that life was...and could be because people wer so amaze and stunned, they have thought that ,that creature is one of a knowledgeable extra super human specie...so they called it God...

just like the Bible written by humans, humans that have extra job descriptions...as apostles...

people are afraid carma, afraid of punishments and from what human believed God will judges us if we dont follow his rules,it is posible to remain his Godliness for million of years...not sure though...

brain capabilities are maybe mistakenly describe as Spirit...just like when we see our selves sleeping when we are sleeping and say youre floating then ask for explanation on frenz or relatives, they will tell you its your spirit goes out of your body to travel other dimension...but it is actually a nightmare...lol

Neither. G-d is a thought. However, spirit is a thought as well, therefore making G-d and a spirit fall under the same cadegory. There is no proof of G-d, rather humanity gives itself proof so that we will not be afraid of life after death, knowing that this almighty "spirit" (if you will) will embrace us with opened arms. However, given the writings of the old testimet, G-d HAD spirit when he helped to free the slaves from Israel and he HAD spirit during a number of stories read from the 5 books of Moses.

What an incredibly tricky question this is, and what a shame it's an either/or.

There are at least two different conceptual ideas that involve God. There's God the Father, of Christian and Jewish faith: the anthropomorphic 'God' that most people in the Western world mean when they say the word...the 'proper noun' God.

Then there's the concept of 'God': an omnipotent or omnipresent force, the common noun. Shiva is 'a' God, so are Krishna and Takhisis and Odin.

In that sense, the personification is just a 'face', just a picture that makes an abstract idea much easier to understand. Even the God of the Old Testament didn't make any claims to being human in form; he said that man was made 'in his image', but that doesn't tell you much unless you know what the image of God is, or what was intended by the term.

It's a tough question, but this is my opinion: God is neither strictly 'alien', or extraterrestrial, nor is it 'spirit', in the classic sense of a singular existing being with a determined identity, existing on another plane.

God is that force or energy which underlies everything else; it's the machine code that underlies everything we see and interact with in reality. It's the base force, the chaos out of which order comes; the fact that it becomes order, in my opinion, is a good argument for there being something. But to say it's anything in particular doesn't make it untrue....it's just not completely right.

Spirit is as close as I can come.

So, can this force apply reason? Can we communicate with it and it with us? Or is it like electricity (it just is and powers things)?

He is a spirit, he can can be an alien but, an alien is some life form from not from the nationality or species there for making him a a full figured person or thing which is visable to see. A spsirt would be more appropriate due to the fact that in the Bible, Heaven is a spiritual place for the souls of the dead to go to to be at peace. Plus in the Bible it states that God and Jesus take forms in spiritual, human, and object.
