- Charles Lee(British officer) on George Washington: The man is weak. He stumbles and stammers through each engagement, making it all up as he goes along. His pedigree is pathetic – his military record even more so. I could go on and on but we'd be here for days, so manifold are his faults, so deficient are his merits. He must be dealt with. It was a bit more complicated than that. The republicans didn't single handedly free the slaves, there was a higher power playing both sides in that war. Nice how the main quote here is from a direct military enemy of Washington. I'm sure we can believe everything that guy says about Washington and the historical record means nothing (except when you point out that Washington owned slaves). You are a sinner, God never sinned and you are not worthy to stand in His presence. He gave His Son to be the propitiation for your sins. If you will admit that you are the sinner who deserves to die and burn in Hell forever, and believe He took your sins on Himself and paid in full what you as a sinner can never pay, believe He is risen bodily from the dead offering you forgiveness of your sins which He died for, and ask God in the name of Jesus to save you, you can receive Jesus Christ as your Savior and have eternal life. God offers you the gift of eternal life through faith in the sinless blood of His Son who died for your sins and rose to justify all who believe on Him. Fighting against Him like you are doing will only seal your condemnation if you believe you deserve it or not. By the way you talk, I'm guessing your parents neglected you or abused you or both.
