Giving over our weapons...is it really a good idea?

I, am all for keeping our guns and starting a war with people trying to take them.

Giving over our assault weapons is one thing, giving over our right to "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness" is quite another. A very few would like to take ALL weapons, the vast majority is far more realistic .... at the moment. Better we be reasonable NOW, than be sorry later! Hunting rifles are okay. I don't need a firing rate of a thousand rounds a minute (or more) for hunting. Yes, it's a good idea to "give over" unnecessary weapons for "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness". The rights of the REST of the amendments!

And what exactly is an assault weapon? This question seems to have many answers when it really should only have one, and I just wish to be educated on this terminology. I don't think the people who want to take away all weapons are the minority, considering most people want to take away "deadly" guns. Surprise surprise, that means all guns. All guns are meant to kill.

What do you mean by saying "the rights of the REST of the amendments!"? The Second Amendment doesn't contradict the other amendments from what I've seen.

No. You don't "wish to be educated on this terminology". You wish to act stupid because that furthers your agenda. Any weapon designed with extreme firing rates with large capacity magazines meant only for mowing down as many people per minute as possible ... not shredding paper targets ... a weapon of WAR that can be carried by one killer, can be considered an assault weapon AND YOU KNOW IT, because you are not as stupid as you are pretending. From the "Tommy-gun" to the Uzi, to the M16 etc. are weapons one would use to assault a military objective .. again, YOU know this.

The hundreds of Americans mowed down in seconds have LOST their "amendments" of freedom of speech, of THEIR right to bear arms and all of the other "rights" they were entitled to, whether implied or amended! Don't act stupid, it doesn't become you!

Its the second amendment, and a way of life for us southern folk, ban idiots, not guns, how else are we going to defend ourselves? are we going to trust the government to protect us? look at the indians.....i will die defending this right, and i will die defending my way of life.

Just how would you go about "banning" an idiot? How do other countries defend themselves when MOST guns are denied? NO OTHER COUNTRY, that is not in a civil war or dictatorship or war zone NEEDS to "defend ourselves". Yes, we need the ELECTED government to protect us .... just as they have for 200+ years. Voting out the ones who don't is FAR more satisfying than seeing your friends, neighbors and relatives killed! There are better ways to defend your rights than spraying bullets around.

By blocking your IP address.

You don't wait until the government is killing you to decide to get weapons, and in a gunless environment, where do you go to get guns when you need them? That's the point of having weapons. So they cannot kill you or put you in a situation where you can't find arms.

Side: Yes

Everyone who ever gave up their weapons soon became slaves, speech censored, brainwashed bots, and poorer than they were before

No other country EVER had assault weapons except after a war IN that country. They were collected in Japan, Germany, and other European countries after the war. England Australia, Canada, are not enslaved OR poorer than they were before, OR speech censored OR brainwashed.

There are countries all over the planet where people have assault weapons. None of them are in a war or in a post war scenario. Save the lies for CNN. They've got it covered.

It's illegal in all 3 to say anything against Islam, while not illegal to critisize any other religious group.
