God Can't Be All Powerful And Send You To Hell
Christians like to believe that not believing in God is an action that is punished by God. That would mean that inaction is a form of action. Christians also believe that God is omnibenevolent, omnipresent, and omnipotent. This is an inherent contradiction. If God can be everywhere and believes that inaction is the same as action, then he must stop people from hurting other people. So, is God not using all of his powers, or does He not really punish people for not believing?

It's all nonsense isn't it ? That's why religions start there brainwashing on the young , if you were not exposed to religion until you were older , most sane adults would see through this garbage. God if he existed is the vilest creature ever imagined ,what an ego you go to hell for not believing in this dictator who gladly watches his creations go through untold sufferings while he chooses not to intervene. All powerful my ass sure no one can find him anyway ,an invisible non interventionist God who needs that ? He can do these things you named if you believe so. If you don't believe in God himself than you shouldn't give a damn about it. - Obviously no one actually was a suspect who saw the power or God doing good things. And Hell exists by the Bible. So there would be a Balance of good and evil. I'm not strong at Bible, but that's my opinion. It's all just a matter of someone's imagination. - Once I heard a joke about Jesus. He was on the top amazing persons of history. He was on the list because he convinced many people even up to these days that he had inhuman abilities like walking on water. And making people to obey his writings. Side: Not All Powerful

If you look at history, they wrote it 200 years after Jesus died. During the Medieval Times (when bible was written) the average life span was 25 years, that means, it was written 8 life times after Jesus died. Also, how would that prove of God? I rest my case. :D Side: Not All Powerful

Because if you payed any attention to the bible or things of the like you would understand that God is said to be forgiving, loving of all of us, and willing to give people (including atheists) the chance to make up for their mistakes until their very end. If He simply killed them all they wouldn't be able to, and if He tortured or hurt them on earth, they would be forever angry with Him and never come to like Him. Side: Ok Not To Believe

i agree with ya. but if he is supposed to be omnibenevolent isnt he supposed to punish people who dont follow his moral code or whatever? theoretically he is supposed to be perfect so anything below him is punishable right? i dont believe what he does is right though but if we follow that idea wouldnt he automatically be just for punishing people? Honestly if I were the god of this universe, I could not possibly see why I would punish anyone that doesn't believe in me. To say this universe at all implies my creation assumes you can differentiate between a designed universe from one that wasn't designed. The only thing suggesting my existence are ancient texts that seemingly has pimitive, socially backwards, ridiculous claims revolving around it "homosexuality is a sin", talking burning bushes, etc, and people are supposed to just assume their is any merit to them? I'd pretty much have to be expecting me to be taken on some extent of faith, which is merely unreasonable bias to a determination of reality, and punish people for not having faith? How at all does it make sense to punish people for not being convinced he/her/it exist especially when they have no reason to be. That doesn't sound just, omnibenevolent, or loving, nor merciless... How at all would this be considered good at all by anyone? Side: Ok Not To Believe

There are very many signs God created this universe. The number 42 has a very big part in this subject. One of God's registered names is the 42 Letter Name of God, "Shaddai Oulam Wemelekh Hha'im Elohim Israel Elohi". This is the only one of His names that has no specified origin in ancient texts. It also says that God created the universe with the number 42, which is connected to many modern day phenomenons. A few of these are that rainbows are only created when sunlight reflects off of water at 42 degrees, it takes .1e-42 seconds for light to travel the diameter of a proton, and if you bored a straight hole through earth at any point and fell through (not touching the walls), it would take 42 minutes to fall through based on earth's size and specific gravity. So yes, there are many different signals that something created our universe and left subtle clues for us to find. By the way, the "God created the universe with 42" thing came up a very long time ago, before Jesus, and these scientific discoveries involving protons, rainbows, etc and the number 42 came up in recent discoveries, so this isn't some kind of coincidental joke. It was actually historically said He used 42, and we are now starting to prove it. Side: Ok Not To Believe

You can do the same thing with any number. For example, Aphrodite the Greek goddess of love has 9 letters in her name. Women are pregnant for 9 months. There are 1440 minutes in a day. If you add up those digits 1+4+4+0 you get 9. There are 9 planets in our solar system (if you still count Pluto). Take any number and subtract it by the sum of the digits in that number. Then sum the digits from the answer. You will always get 9. For example, 22-4=18, 1+8=9 The numbers from the show Lost were 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42. If you add those up you get 108. 1+0+8=9. . The Norse goddes Freya has 5 letters in her name. The speed of light is 299,792,458 miles per second. If you add up all those digits you get 55. We have 5 fingers on each hand. We have 5 toes on each foot. . Branwen, the Celtic Goddess of love and beauty has 7 letters in her name. There are 7 days in the week. There are 7 notes in a musical scale. The speed of sound is 340 miles per second. If you add up all those digits (3+4+0) you get 7. There are 7 continents. There are 7 colors in the rainbow . You see, you can take any number and find some kind of significance to it. Side: Not All Powerful
Well, if God can't send me to Hell can he at least arrange a trip to Hawaii? I could have a hula of a time there! :)) Side: Ok Not To Believe

I am a Catholic and I personally believe that those who do not believe in God do not go to hell as long as they are good people. For not believing they may have a harder time getting to Heaven than others, a.k.a a longer purgatorial period, but will get into Heaven. Humans are very conflicted with their emotions and can become stressed over subjects like religion. This can lead to confusion and disbelief in God, and God has to understand all of this because He created us this way. As for God not being all powerful, of course He is. He created the entire universe and therefore has control over all of it. Side: Ok Not To Believe
