God plays favorites.

Anyone who disagrees is in denial. Some people have way better lives than others, and that is not fair.

Well technically speaking not, there is no God, but what kind of a person would I be if i left it at that :L Oh no of course he doesn't. At no point ever in time did he call the Jews his "Chosen people." No no way. Oh and of course God loves everybody equally, hence the fact he gives some the best life and others a living hell. I don't think "Suffer in this life and enjoy paradise in the next" is part of Gods repertoire.

I am angry at God right now. :'(

You're not the only one. Why might I ask are you feeling Vengeful at God? You think you might want to Smite him with your Wrath?

Side: I agree.

I'm kind of mixed here, since I don't actually see evidence of a god in the first place, but I digress.

I believe if God exists from the stories I have read, that he must pick favorites. The difference in religions is evidence of that. He tells his followers to destroy those who don't follow. If he feels like a group is getting too powerful or set in the ways of sin he'll send armies to destroy them like with Sodom and Gomorrah.

There is countless bible stories where god gives greater ability to one specific person or persons for the purpose of making them better than those around. One specific example is with Moses. he was given the powers of a god to free his people, but what's to say that the people imprisoning his people weren't righteous.

If you feel that example is a bit iffy, which I do, here's another. The story of Samson where God imbued a warrior with the strength of a god to best everyone on the battlefield, stored in his hair.

Perhaps a bit jokingly I could say "God has a plan for everyone" so if you do bad his plan was for you to do bad so anyone that's not doing bad was chosen by God not to do bad, thus he picked a favorite, and you weren't it.

Definatly the ones that sin (the one he just doesn't like) He sends to hell. Those who follow him (The ones he does like) Goes to heaven... You see my point?

This in it's self shows that god is not in anyway perfect.

Side: I agree.

There is no evidence that a god exists thus no reason for me to believe he/she/it does, and if god doesn't exist then he can't pick favorites, unless we're just talking about conceptual gods in that case depending on the god he/she/it may or may not, but if he/she/it does play favorites, he/she/it is not omnibenevolent.

They have better lives because either that's just the hand they were dealt or they worked for it. God doesn't set up our lives us and our parents do.

If it is the hand they are dealt than god could have given everyone equal chances, unless you don't believe in an omnipotent, omniscient, omnibenevolent god of course. If they worked for it, why didn't god create everyone with the same measure of motivational drive and capacity to work? If some people work harder than others, god made them that way when it would have been equally as easy to make everyone equally hardworking thus you might say that means he intentionally made some people hardworkers than others.

Side: I agree.

Life is about becoming better than we were. We can not do that with our own personal challenges.

Why couldn't god make everyone perfect? They don't have to ever be better than they were if everyone was perfect.

Maybe he tried. What if that is what the story about the garden of eden was. God's first attempt at humanity where he tried to make them perfect from the get-go. Maybe the state of perfection can only be possible if you have an understanding of imperfection.

Jacob I have loved and Esau I have hated. Enough said .

that just goes to show the finickiness that is the great and powerful lord.

Side: I agree.

I'll say it again.

It's the yin and the yang. The God and the Devil. The good is the God keeping things in balance, while the bad is the devil keeping things in balance. You cannot blame either of them for playing favorites.

I am not saying that God plays favourites. I am saying that whatever bad happens, the devil is keeping things in balance and whatever good happens, god is keeping things in balance. No good can happen without some bad.

I say it again, life cannot be all rainbows and sunshine.

The bible tells us that god has not interfered directly in the lives of humans since the time of Adam and Eve (the beginning of the human race) with a few notable exceptions. Your life is yours make of it what you will

Side: I disagree.

God flicked that piece of the puzzle (humans) and it went like dominos; humans are non perfect beings living in a perfect naturalistic environment.

We are the reason why there is pain, suffering and sorrow.

God has nothing to do with how it played out.

It sits back and watches us destroy itself whilst we simultaneously do amazingly beautiful things.

What is not fair is that not one person will truly know if it exists with absolute universal verification, until the moment we die and pass over[...]

Side: I disagree.

God never plays favorites. He only guides those who help others in need, that's all.

Peace with all.

Side: I disagree.

I dont understand why other people keep on blaming God, and yet they dont even believe in Him. In my own opinion, He doesnt take favorites. And other people are more miserable than others because I believe that they dont take the opportunities that are given to them. I am aware that people have a decision if they would make their life as well-lived or not. As a saying goes, people are handling their own destinies. So as to say, even if there is a God, or no God, then it is up to us people on how our life would go for us.

Side: I disagree.

Some people think God favors a certain Sports team of theirs when their team wins. It is not true because they don't think this way when their team loses.
